Rumors are flying that Bill Kristol is going to be fired by the NYT.

There are of course a variety of reasons, but the most damning has to be his part in the elevation of an uninformed hoople to the Republican vice presidential nomination.

    One word: HA!Whatever the “reasons”.

I’m oddly disappointed by this. Dissenting voices are healthy. Yes, Kristol is a moron. But we surely can all continue to enjoy his columns – just stick ‘em in the ‘funnies’ where they belong.

    Paybacks are such a bitch.

Bishop Kristol of the Hooplehead Orthodoxy? Get rid of him. There are plenty of other outlets than the NYT for his kind of discourse…

If this is true, and I pray to Jebus it is, do you think the “Jon, you read the NY Times too much” comment on The Daily Show did him in?

  • J M Ashby

He also made mocked and critisized the NYT while on the daily show. Im sure that didn’t make his coworkers happy.

He is such an idiot, but the idiot branch of the Republican party needs a voice, just like the thoughtful branch has their Wills and Parkers. He is always wrong, so he makes a perfect reverse barometer. He is also such a dick that his mere presence in the NYT is a catalyst for the left. However, I think JM Ashby is correct that his mocking the NYT on the Daily Show may have been his ultimate stupid move, kind of like sawing off the branch you are sitting on.I wonder if Newsweek will dump Rove?

I have no issue with conservatives. I believe strongly that everyone has a right not only to their opinion, but to voice that opinion. I actually enjoy a good debate with someone whom I disagree with. Not only can you teach, but you can also learn as well if you keep your mind open.My problem with Kristol, and those like him is that he spins, distorts, and outright lies to get his “points” across

They could start a new show featuring Kristol, Rove, Hannity, O’Reilly, and Joe. Put them all at desks and bring on contestants to go up against them for cash. Call it“Are You Smarter Than a Conservative Pundit?”,It wouldn’t be hard to win!

How many corrections did they have to print? I think it’s sloppy editing as much as Kristol’s tendency to lie. It has to be embarrassing for a newspaper that tolerated Judy Miller and Jason Blair.
