Morning Awesome

My kid was watching this show from the UK and telling me I should see it, then it started getting these similarities to life and by then, I couldn’t catch up. It takes me a marathon of epic proportions to catch me up on a show I missed a lot of to get me to continue watching. I hope I can catch one of those. It probably ran against Olberman, didn’t it?

If there’s one series you buy on DVD, buy this one. Even the “weak” seasons are better than anything on television right now.

I’ll consider that as a Santa wish if I ever get a DVD player again. Mine was fried by lightning this past summer. Haven’t been able to squeeze that out of the budget yet. Since I lose electronics so regularly to lightning the last few summers, I’m glad the cheapos have gone down into the $40 range.Bet the DVD set will be more by far, but I might find it on bittorrent–er, Amazon free downloads, yeah.

There’s more.The Josh Lyman character (played by Bradley Whitford), who becomes Santos’ chief of staff, is widely recognized to have been based on … (wait for it) … Rahm Emanuel.I suggest you rent the DVD set starting with season one and at least watch through season four. Santos doesn’t make it into the series until the last two seasons, but it’s a terrific series — perhaps the best of its kind ever shown on network TV.

Renting sounds like a great option. Let me work on getting something to play it on and I’ll probably go that route, Ara. Downloading means sitting in this computer chair for more hours to watch it, not an option my aching body favors.

You know, I was a sporadic watcher – but I loved every episode I did watch. I think I’ll queue this up in Netflix…QT
