Morning Joe

I have a question for Scarborough who was ballyhooing a new CMPA poll showing more favorable news coverage for Senator Obama, and therefore a media bias against Senator McCain. (That last part makes me laugh given that the barbecue press is McCain’s self-admitted “base.”)

Do you honestly — honestly! — believe, Joe, that there have been an equal number of positive news items coming from each of the two campaigns warranting equally positive coverage? Or do you think, given the litany of McCain missteps, gaffes, smear ads, lies, and failing polls, there might actually be more negative news about the McCain campaign simply because that’s the reality?

Just asking.

Exactly, Bob. When is someone going to call them out on this bullshit line? If they waited for something positive to come out of the McCain campaign so they could report it, we’d never get a story from the McCain campaign.

Joe Scarborough is positioning himself to be the right’s Keith Olbermann once Obama is elected. That doesn’t mean that in addition to being a calculating right-wing prick, he isn’t also a venal, lying gasbag. Mourning Joe.

Joe didn’t get that 4 page flyer I received featuring lies, innuendos, and a slick layout designed to capture the heart of the low information voter. On the half page side containing the address, it featured a picture of Obama with a caption that read: “I DON’T REGRET SETTING BOMBS. I FEEL WE DIDN’T DO ENOUGH.” The New York Times 9/11/01. Below this caption was a picture of Ayers. It was designed of course to look like Obama made this statement. This flyer was orchestrated by the INDIANA STATE REPUBLICAN PARTY. Now we know this flyer was mailed out working from old data since many were addressed to previous residents. NO JOE DIDN’T GET THIS FLYER!

Excuse me, Scarbrain. The reason McCain’s coverage sucks is because he sucks.Get a better candidate.

And might I add that Mika (Joe’s pet Mynah bird) chirped in, seeming to disagree with Joe’s windbaggyness, but stated that the reason there was more negative coverage about McCain was, that since Obama was BLACK the journalists didn’t, therefore, know how to handle HIM. (Can you imagine what an embarassment she must be to Zbignew?)Phil Griffin (head? of MSNBC “News,) in the recent article about the high ratings for Keith and Rachel, stated that this was the start of the “new direction” for MSNBC. I’m hoping that means Scarborough and his henchmen/women and their Fox-like lies and sensationlism are on the way out. I can’t even believe Scarborough was a “better” replacement for Imus.

OH NotAPollStat how right you are. Could we be lucky enough to have so called “news” that doesn’t make coffee come out our nose in the morning?
