As I’ve been watching the terrorist attacks unfold, the one thing that keeps racing through my mind, in addition to the tragedy of it all, is the shaky India-Pakistan relationship. Both have nuclear weapons, and if this thing escalates, the events of the last two days will seem quaint in comparison.

    But, seriously, I’ve been watching this too with the same thoughts. I’m a young’n, but I don’t remember any terrorist attacks being this well-coordinated.

    These types of attacks have been going on forever, unfortunately. Used to be the IRA and the Puerto Rican nationalists and the Basques and Baader-Meinhoff and whatever that group was in South America and lots of others. And the attacks used to be in London, Paris, Berlin, and Belfast. Same shit, different era.They’re awful & we all wish they’d stop, but I don’t see how they can ever be prevented.I was more concerned about India & Pakistan using nukes when it was the soldiers shooting at each other over Kashmir. Thus far, I don’t see that as a possibility in this instance.

    This is really sad and depressing. Apparently, the terrorists were specifically targeting Americans and Jews. No doubt in the belief that such targets increase their cred among other terrorists.Unfortunately, my wife’s family wanted to watch Fox “News” before Thanksgiving Dinner. While the Foxtards were discussing the attacks, the scroll read about how Obama’s “Russian critics” (read: one obscure guy) were predicting that Obama’s policies will result in the break up of America, much like Gorbachev broke up the USSR.Happy Thanksgiving, all.
