I finally had a chance to watch the Frontline special about Lee Atwater last night. I totally forgot how psychotic and creepy he was. If the Republicans want to know what’s wrong with their party right now, they should take a good hard look at Atwater.

He’s responsible for everything that’s not working for Republicans anymore. Atwater-Rove politics have become obsolete, at least in the states that typically determine elections these days. But SHHH! Don’t tell Sarah Palin, because she thinks they’re still most-excellent. Atwater would’ve loved the “palling around with domestic terrorists” line.

    Alas for living in a benighted backwater of a red state… I fear I shall never witness this movie in a theatre. I had to drive four hours to see MMoore’s 9/11.

    Watched it this morning. Atwater was a slimy cracker, and Barbara Bush hated him. I dunno who that speaks more highly of.Do they still treat brain tumors by drilling a hole in yer head and dropping radiation pellets in there, or did Atwater go to a backwoods dentist for treatment?

    palin just gets more and more hoople-ish(thanks bob) day by day.seriously…she’s now nicking bits and pieces of speeches written by the dicks who sold her out.the same speeches that helped her lose the election.lets just hope that the dick morris’ and michelle bachmans and the sarah palins,especially the sarah palins of the republican party are the ones who win this current power struggle.
