The Future Of The GOP

by Lee Stranahan

While Republicans are running around like elephants with their heads cut off and trying to figure out which fundamentalist to throw the hot potato to, they all seem to have forgotten that they actually HAD a candidate that was doing a lot of the stuff that impressed everyone about Barack Obama. They had someone who was moving beyond the traditional GOP base, raising massive amounts of money and who appealed to tomorrow’s voters and not just the old, dying demographic.

Ron Paul, of course. Now, imagine if there was a young Ron Paul who had some personal charisma. That would might produce something new and interesting in the Republican party. But of course, the Republicans shunned Paul like a leper and for the absolute wrong reasons to shun him; his opposition to the Iraq war. Now with the party in disarray, there’s an opening for someone who sees the opening to take over the whole crumbling mess.

Lee,The real problem with all Republican’s is that they suffer from full-of-shit-itis!Example:Warning: It’s Glenn Beck so prepare to vomit in your mouth a little bit!http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/11/20/gbeck_1119/Quote: “After we’ve been told for months that the election of Obama would magically make our enemies start to like us again”!Huh? Where the frick did he hear that? When did any member of the Obama campaign espouse such nonsense?Whether it’s Newt G as Bob just pointed out, or Michelle Bachmann as Countdown recently pointed out, or Beck ………… they’re all just delusional, idiotic, liars!

Glenn Beck is a complete moron. But what the GOP needs is a Ron Paul without the crazy racist and John Birch Society connections.
