What’s The Matter With Missouri?

So weird. The Washington Post, Newsweek and the AP still haven’t called Missouri for either McCain or Obama.

McCain 1,444,326
Obama 1,439,338

Difference? 4,988 votes.

The auto reply I received from MO SOS Elections:Final results are actually being tallied all around the country. They are never final on election night. Please do not mistake the predictions or “calls” of the news media as actual vote totals, or final results.Missouri state law provides that local election authorities have up to two weeks to finalize and certify their official vote totals. After that, our office has an additional two weeks to compile and certify the statewide result. We are in the midst of that process now.You can view the unofficial election results here on our website:http://www.sos.mo.gov/enrweballresults.asp?eid=256Kay DinolfoElections DivisionMissouri Secretary of Statewww.sos.mo.gov

I was noticing the Nader thing myself. Obama is behind McCain by 4,988 votes. Nader’s ahead of Bob Barr by 6,417. Thanks again, Ralph. Maybe you can go on Larry King and call Obama an “Uncle Tom” again. Douchebag.

Ralph wants us to put our “junk in the trunk”. You know what I mean, the Covair? You know it’s sad about Ralph. He started out with a brillant idea and worked like crazy as a consumer advocate. He could never quite figure out how to make the jump to mainstream politics. Now he’s just a clown standing in the information highway.

I read somewhere (I think it was STL Today, although I can’t find the article now), that provisional ballots are still being counted, and that final results will be in by Tuesday, Nov 18th.
