Crazy-Strength

It takes a special brand of crazy — crazy-strength — to haul a widely and thoroughly debunked conspiracy theory to the Supreme Court.

The U.S. Supreme Court will consider Friday whether to take up a lawsuit challenging President-elect Barack Obama’s U.S. citizenship, a continuation of a New Jersey case embraced by some opponents of Obama’s election.

I also stumbled onto this article further illustrating the far-right’s crazy-strength. In it, the author calls this the biggest constitutional crisis in history. Seriously.

The cavalcade of wingnuttery has only just begun.

And once again, just for the record: PoliFact, Fact Check and Snopes.

I just posted about this in another online community. I did so largely to note the fact that Alan Keyes (former presidential candidate!) was party to one of these lawsuits.QT

Who the fuck is Joan Swirsky?! She needs a new haircut and while she’s at it, a whole new fucking head. Please don’t link these troglodyte articles, Bob. They shrivel my brain and curve my spine.

It’s really amazing to me that this “frivilous lawsuit” has gotten this far. What a waste of the court’s time.

I especially like the continued reference to “Obama’s close friend William Ayers.”Many years ago I saw Paul McCartney while waiting for a flight at JFK. He and his entourage walked past us and we waived and he waived back. It turned out that he was on my flight to London and he graciously autographed cocktail napkins for the other passengers. Yup, I should call up my “close friend Paul McCartney” one of the days and catch up on old times………….

Broadway Carl was right, Swirsky is straight-up ugly. I know that comments on someone’s physical appearance should have no place in political discourse, but did you see that photo? She hit every damn branch! On top of that, she also appears to be a total moron with little understanding of how either the Supreme Court, or Circuit Courts actually work. These people must be the same ones whom refuse to pay their income taxes because they believe that Ohio really isn’t a state.

And where (again I ask) is the proof that John McCain is a natural-born citizen of the U.S?McCain was born in the Panama Canal zone, before children born there were automatically considered U.S. citizens. Why isn’t THIS a front page story?

Here I copy and paste, from The Consitution:No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.Bu-Bye.For crying out loud… enough already.

Just think of how stupid they’ll look tomorrow when this gets tossed by the Supreme Court. Not that it’ll stop them from spreading their tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. They’ll just have to make up new details about how Obama conned the SCOTUS.

This story is so yesterday. First off, Obama’s mother was a natural born American citizen and lived in the US her whole life until Obama was something like 8 or 9. Therefore, Obama is an American citizen regardless of where he was actually born. But he was born in Hawaii for God’s sake and there is documentation to prove this. These right wingers are too pathetic.
