Putting the ‘Poor’ In Standard And Poor’s

This is tragic:

The S&P is down more than 40 per cent so far this year, its worst fall since the Great Depression.

Some of the safest stock market investments are index funds that track the S&P 500. In other words, way too many real people with real people cashflow have been totally screwed by the market alone, say nothing of the broader economy — unemployment, etc…

    Can you imagine what the stock market and the economy in general would be doing right now had McCain/Palin been in the “on deck” position rather than Obama? I shudder to think about it..
