In a unanimous decision handed down just now, the state Supremes denied Coleman any relief in a lawsuit he was waging to deal with allegations of double-counted absentee ballots, which his campaign says have given an illegitimate edge to Al Franken. [...] With Al Franken leading by 47 votes, this lawsuit was Coleman’s best shot at coming from behind. And it just failed, making a Franken win nearly a foregone conclusion when this recount finishes up in early January.

It’s a dark day for Lizard People.

    Bob, I’ve been on the fringe of the great Minnesota recount so I don’t know the tiny details, but is this true? Is it really a forgone conclusion?

    I will dance in the streets if he wins–Bob if he does win, you should dig up the video of Bill O’Loofah saying the state “certified” the election for Coleman as the winner–I won’t breathe easy until it’s certified though.–kinda makes you wonder if we had all the votes counted in 2000–such a shame.

    JG – guaranteed that the voted WERE NOT counted in 2000. And the Supreme Court guaranteed that they would never be counted.

    What will be really interesting is to watch our “liberal” BBQ media go after Franken for “stealing” the election if he indeed does win–as opposed to the “sweeping under the rug” coverage they gave the 2000 election…”no biggie”/”get over it”
