Damn. That’s absolutely harrowing until Keith brings it all back to HOPE. Nicely done, KO.

I always watch KO and Rachel using Tivo on the TeeVee so I can replay anything really great. This bit is Tivo-worthy……………..

Put it in a time capsule, I says.A decade ago,I never thought we would seeBush forty-three on the verge ofspontaneous implosion. -Woe-is-we.-But I guess that it comeswith the terrorist threat,An ominous landscape ofnever-ending piling-up debt.I’m tuning it out,I don’t wanna seecause I have had all I can take andexploding in anger’s an imminent possibilityto me!So pardon me while I burstinto blame.I’ve had enough of his worldand his people’s mindless games. So pardon me while I turnthe channel out of rage.Pardon me, pardon me…We’ll never be the same!Seven years ago,we all did seeon TVthe pictures of a guyin a turban talabani. To those times I can’t relatecause lately we’ve been living with the damn frustrationof presidential vacation fromthe burdens ofhis elected job.No gravity, hypocrisy, and the bailout of Wall Street…and treating people differently.Pardon me while I burstinto blame.I’ve had enough of George Bushand his people’s mindless games. So pardon me while I turnthe channel out of rage.Pardon me, pardon me…We’ll never be the same!

Thanks for putting my emotions and feelings of late into the words that I’ve been unable to find for so long.

Nice. He got several things very wrong, though. The credit market bubble wasn’t built on Bush’ watch, it just exploded on his watch. That bubble was good fifteen years in the making. And no, there weren’t thirty economists who predicted it, or even thirty who believed it was possible. The overwhelming CONSENSUS as of July 2007 was the market would go through a slight correction. I remember those kinds of things, considering it is what I do for a living, at least, it used to be a living. Now it’s just bleeding me dry. Also, oil prices didn’t rise only because of waning regulations, and they didn’t fall because of a renewed threat of regulations. They rose because they were LONG over due to rise, and speculators had an orgasmic thrust upwards. Two major things forced oil prices to drop like a rock; the end of China subsidizing its citizens fuel consumption, and Americans cutting fuel consumption. Sorry, no one gets to take the credit for giving oil speculators an electric prod right up their anus except the people who should, consumers. I don’t want to hear congresspeople and senators, two years from now, taking credit for sitting with their hands placed directly under their ass while oil prices skyrocketed, and then claiming that their tough legislation broke the oil industry. We ALL need to remember that it was consumers who broke the back of big oil. Don’t let your slimy politicians grab the credit.Third, the reason Bush “subcontracted” the Pakistani army to surround bin Laden was because our forces couldn’t encircle bin Laden without trespassing into Pakistan.Much of what Olberman says is true, with his own particular spin to accentuate it. But I’ve never liked the guy. He’s reactionary, and kind of a big doof. Not a serious news journalist, more of an opinion columnist. That said, I’d like to see him bitch slap O Reilly at some point.Doesn’t O Reilly’s face just beg to be bitch slapped?

The end is a bit overly dramatic.

    P3 -

Not a serious news journalist, more of an opinion columnist.

‘Countdown with Keith Olberman’ and ‘The Rachel Maddow Show’ are both Opinion Commentary shows *not* news shows. Could this be why they appear to be opinion columnists? I think so.

KO isn’t reactionary, Poop. Reactionary, by definition, refers to the far right, ultra conservatives.Just sayin’…
