When you quit a job and give your two week notice, they oft times pay you right then and there and call the security guard to watch you clean out your desk and then escort you from the building. It’s their way of saying “Thanks for the notice but you need to just leave right now, okay? We’d feel better. Safer. Noting personal. Just go.”
President Bush has really pretty much hung it up. Can we just help him clear his desk and get back to Crawford, right now? Let him enjoy this weekend there. I’m not saying dock his pay a week. But really. Just go.
