Doof of the Year

With an overwhelming majority of the vote, the 2008 Doof of the Year is Sarah Palin. The above video is one of the many reasons why, and so we salute Sarah Palin and encourage her to keep talking and to pleeeeease run for national office again.

    I wonder if her stock will decline in proportion to her physical appearance?Also, thanks to her I learned that Alaska is basically the lovechild of Texas and Florida.

    Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said future son-in-law Levi Johnston, 18, is not a high-school dropout as many in the media are reporting. The former Republican vice-presidential candidate said Wednesday that Johnston is enrolled in high school through a correspondence program. Palin said some media outlets also are erroneously reporting that daughter Bristol, 18, is a high-school dropout. The governor said her daughter is enrolled in regular high school and has taken correspondence courses. Bristol Palin and Johnston are the parents of Sarah Palin’s first grandchild, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, who was born Saturday. Johnston has said he and Bristol plan to marry; no date has been set.

    Position Flexible … and yes Travis.. as her boobs droop so will her stock…As to having learned more about the State of Alaska…. I don’t really know if that is a good thing. Maybe we should let them secede, then we can invade, occupy and then take over all the natural resources that these half witted meth addicts are taking so very lightly.

    Travis -Her approval in Alaska? I haven’t a clue. Certainly lower than it used to be, but in the fairly high positives overall, I’m sure. She has a large fan base here. Similar to the people who love Britney Spears, I think.You’ll notice I didn’t dispute your analysis.I moved to Alaska as a little kid, and it is a far different place than it used to be.Among the non-native population, there is a fairly solid percentage of people (not necessarily bitter) who DO cling to their guns and religion. Born-agains who own lots of “sportsman” type toys and for whom killing things is a hobby. Most of them moved here when oil fields started being developed.It’s making me rethink where I want to reside.

    Did Track take correspondence courses to get his high school diploma too? He never graduated either.Alaska receives more per capita earmarks and federal dollars than any other state. Plus, thanks to the taxes charged on oil companies, Alaska has no state income or sale tax. In fact, most years, the residents get money back from the state. Since the oil companies just pass the cost of those taxes onto their customers, that means the residents of the lower 48 plus Hawaii are carrying the entire load of Alaska’s government both directly and indirectly.They’ve got the sweetest deal of all time: We pay the cost of their state government while they get to pretend to be a small-government, libertarian ideal.Why any one up there would want to secede and cut off that gravy train is beyond me.

    I can only assume that in addition to being ignorant twits, they also are not very bright to begin with.

    Let them secede, then when they beg to be let back in we can get a better deal. I’m tired of subsidizing the buffoons.

    We certainly do not need their political contributions. Ted “series of tubes, not a truck” Stevens and Sarah “random word ejaculater” Palin are not what I consider to be positive contributions to our nation’s political system.

    I still don’t think Palin is a doof. Idiot certainly, but not a doof.

    Regarding my previous post: I do know that there are people in AK that are not ignorant twits (I am a fan of Shannyn Moore for example), but they seem greatly outnumbered by ignorant twits. I meant no insult to the Alaskans with fully functioning brains. Native Alaskans must have a rather distorted perspective on European-Americans from the non-native AK settlers.

    I, for one, also, am goeen to be misseen Sarah Palin as she, you know, leaves the airspace of the national stage and rears her head there, also, in Alaska to do some grandmother flexible for baby Tripp while Levi works on his GED from the oil fields and sends money to bail his momma out of jail also there to position also. Honestly, I feel sorry for all Alaskans there also who didn’t support the helicopting wolf hunter.And I’m still feeleen sorry for pitbulls everywhere.
