George Washington? Illegitimate!

Benen reminds us of some actual history:

In 1789, George Washington was president for seven weeks before he’d taken the oath, but he still had all the authority of the office.

Of course he did. But look out, President Washington. Steve Doocy is assembling a time-traveling DeLorean and he’s coming for you!
