Inauguration Plans and Events

I’m taking the day off work on Tuesday. I plan to head downtown to watch the parade and swearing-in ceremony. I can’t decide whether to spend the morning drinking away in celebration of the end of this miserable fuck-up of a presidency, or excitedly looking forward to the Obama administration.I suppose the then-President will want me to look forward and not backward, but I’ve had 1/20/09 circled on the calendar for so long now and I haven’t felt this impending sense of relief since exam week was almost over in college. Ideally I will find somewhere to celebrate both ways.
