The Cul-de-Sac

Krugman:

Today, Republicans have taken away almost all those Southern votes — and lost the rest of the country. It was a grand ride for a while, but in the end the Southern strategy led the G.O.P. into a cul-de-sac.

Will the Republicans eventually stage a comeback? Yes, of course.

All it takes is one big event and an accompanying roundelay of Lee Greenwood. Unfortunately.

What is cul-de-sac?Sorry, but what great and wonderful idea will the GOP come up with in the future?I am guessing tricking immigrants into voting from them because white people are taking their jobs.

A “cul-de-sac” is a dead end. It’s from the French, meaning the “ass of the bag”. In some cities, dead ends are called “cul-de-sacs”.Being of French Canadian background, I was shocked the first time I encountered the word because “cul” is a very naughty word back home.

The current batch of spineless twits that call themselves democratic party congress critters lack the cojones to perform a proper coup de grace on the Greedy Old Pricks.

Cojones poco appears to be the fundimental criterion for Democratic Party support for congressional candidates. Tiny balled wipers of others peoples bottoms. I fart in their general direction.

I except Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd. They at least made an attempt to not give the bushies a free pass.

How would one say ‘Empty Srotum’ in French?
That would be a useful phrase.

Silly – I think it’s “Sarkozy” or else “Sacks De’ Bleu!”
