WMD All Over Again

No excuse. None.

ThinkProgress has found that since the AP’s report last Tuesday, the CBO report has been cited at least 81 times on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, the Sunday shows and the network newscasts in order raise questions about Obama’s recovery plan.

At least 81 times. Again, this is precisely why the television people and the Republicans can’t be trusted to accurately deal with very serious, very important issues.

Incidentally, I was glad to see Rachel talking about this point last night. We are where we are — whether it’s Iraq or the economy or any other example of raging awful — because of inaccurate reporting and incompetent, lying Republican leadership. So why do they still get to contribute in any serious way? Especially as we teeter on the brink?

Know what I think? We need to start a “it’s the conservative media’s fault!” meme. The Republicans have co-opted that argument for too long.

I just now heard TN Rep Marsha Blackburn, your average, low-end, low intelligence, lying, party-line-towing Republican cite the non-existent CBO report on CNN. No one questioned her.

trustno1 – It *is* the conservative media’s fault.

trustno1 – It *is* the conservative media’s fault. They have been using weapons of mass distraction for at least 30 years.
