Every Republican except Snowe, Collins and Specter voted to filibuster the recovery bill — and they failed.

    I almost wish they had filibustered vigilantly. I would like to have seen them shown for the obstructionists they are out there standing in the way of recovery. Then again, the MSM would have just posed the question, “Why can’t Obama and the Democrats close the deal with this bill? Republicans, some say bravely, filibustered this so called recovery bill. Let’s talk to them endlessly to find out why.”

    This watered down piece of 42% tax cut shit is the result of including the Republicans, and even worse, giving them a huge say in what it should be. Many more bills will need to be introduced. Can we ignore these cretins now and get down to the business of saving our country?

    Obama’s after-action review should conclude that he’s better off to jettison the “bipartisanship” kumbayah nonsense and just ram his agenda through Congress from now on.The GOP needs to keep losing and losing until they wake up to the fact they live on Earth, not Republican World.

    No vote for the Democrat unless the Dem is a dick.Specter is pretty good as republicans go. He’s old school conservative like Dirksen and Goldwater. He big on law enforcement and a record of respecting the constitution. He should have been even louder about the unconstitutional behavior of the Bush administration. He did speak out, but the media ignored him.He’s been in long enough. He’s done a pretty good job overall even though he sides with his party too many times when he should not.He’s the rocket scientist that suggested ‘The Single Bullet Theory’ that was espoused by the Warren commission report on the JFK assassination.
