Better Dead Than Red

Alan Keyes repeats what many Republicans are saying — just in a more forthright way:

Obama is a radical communist and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it is coming true. He is going to destroy this country and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist.

good grief — and after Bush stomped all over the constitution and sunk the world economy — Keyes is just NOW worried about the future of the US?But if Alan Keyes says it doesn’t that make most people think it must be crazy?

  • GIthePotato

You know what I love about super negativity being used against Prez. Obama, I GETS HIM ELECTED WITH A 3 to 1 MARGIN! Keep it up GOP you are the best.HOLY SHIT!!!A new poll has Prez. Obama beating Jesus as a hero. That will not be a good thing for him to win over the fucking super crazy evangelicals. This only fuels the fires of ANTICHRIST insanity.

Oh jeez. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so terrifying that there are actually people who will listen and believe this gas bag. Fucking Chicken Little.

If Keys had anything to contribute, he may have been the first African American President. But, then he didn’t.I think the America he sees will cease to exist. It did for me. I used to be for Keys. Then I looked around at the results of that thinking. I changed.I now see a very different America, one filled with hope and agreement about the betterment of each citizen, not just certain parts of the citizenry.I also see an America that does need to cease to exist. One that lives only for the sole individual. One that is connected to others purely for profit alone. One that places a heavy hand on the “others” and subjugates them. One that plots to rip off the rest and then laugh about it.

How can you destroy what has already been destroyed?

Move over FDR, there’s a new communist czar in town!!

    That guy’s hilarious.

He must be stopped! We must stop him or America will cease to exist! They whip up the fear and then, like the fucking coward shitbags that they are, they sit back and wait patiently for a nut to take a shot at the President…

    >>How can you destroy what has already been destroyed?Interesting question. It almost implies that we can only go up from here. I like this kind of optimism.

It’s such a thrill living in the American Idiocracy! The funny part is the internet tubes make it harder and harder for b.s. and lies of the right to break through. The best example of how the right doesn’t get it and why they are destined to the trash heap of history was McCain’s presidential campaign. He and his handlers acted if there wasn’t a way to track his flip-flopping lies and stupidity. The nonsense of the right flourished in an era when fact-checking was slower and more difficult. The fact the right still has much of a following at all tends to make me think America is a place where literacy is in deep doo doo.

Does anyone listen to Keyes anymore?I mean really …Are the GOP going to trot out every black republican (that shouldn’t take too long) to be the opposition against President Obama?

Alan Keyes is a clown, we all know that – but what bothers me is the whole “he must be stopped” rhetoric oozing out of the diseased pieholes of people like him and Rush Limbaugh. For anyone who saw Alexandra Pelosi’s documentary the other night, or ever typed the words “Palin rally” at Youtube – we all know how many deranged psychopaths there are in this great country of ours. This clumsy tone needs to be called out whenever possible..

Keyes is the ultimate loser. as far as calling obama or democrats communists….communism’s not so bad. It’s generally worse economic than capitalism but communism in this country is usually equated with the Soviet Union. However, that wasn’t communism. That was a dictatorship. That’s what the republicans are talking about, Government spending on social programs is good if it generates wealth while providing a valuable public service. But as has been said on this blog, the government should not control the means of production and none of us are advocating that.

  • Teh Minx

I’m with Nano on this one. There are just too many individuals of no character that are all too willing to whip up someone to take a shot at our President. The “he must be stopped” rhetoric must be stopped. I get worried about this.

  • SillyGit

Wow.I’mjustspeechless.Next he’ll hear voices telling him to defeat the British.

  • The Dogfather

Even the repukes don’t take Keyes seriously. He’s just another radical wingnut windbag like Limpballs, providing a very valuable service — making sure that the American public sees the right wing for the nutjobs that they really are, thereby ensuring that the Bushes and Cheneys of the world will never again infest the White House or Congress…

  • Likala

Just think of the ratings they’d get if the ultimate happened. I have trouble expressing this as it’s just too awful to think of, however,we all know and some have alluded to in this thread, that’s where this is going if something’s not done to shut up the lies and fiery rhethoric that’s being allowed to proliferate from the right courtesy of a too willing corporate controlled media.

  • ElMystico

    >>>Does anyone listen to Keyes anymore? They did before?Seriously, though, folks, take my wife, please. No wait…Anyone else think it’s weird that “radical communist” is still actually a frightening idea and a worthy insult to these people? Sure, communism clearly slides in on the left-hand side of the political spectrum but…everyone knows it doesn’t work. Note to conservatives: NO ONE believes in communism anymore, even communist countries. See, now it’s been tried, we understand its fatal flaws, and we’re not going back. It’s what rational people do.I actually had a (liberal elitist egghead) professor who described herself as a Marxist. And you know what she said about him? That he was a pretty good materialist philosopher until the communists got to him.But expecting your Becks and your Scarboroughs and your Common Garden Troll to understand this would mean that they would have to escape from the black & white bubble they live in. You know, the one where it’s the 50′s and everything is perfect- we just kicked Nazi ass, white people are in charge, and a married woman can’t have her own bank account, because she and the children are more or less still property. (Hey we gave you ladies the vote so quit your bitchin, am I right guys?)Same thing with the ID crowd calling people who believe in evolution “Darwinists” like there hasn’t been a century and a half of research since then that has only strengthened the theory. It’s like they have this shield that prevents new information from getting in. And that, kids, is the magic ingredient that makes conservatism work. Inasmuch as it does.

I’m not sure the republicans were ever listening to Keyes. If they were, they certainly haven’t been for quite awhile.I remember watching the only republican debate where Keyes was able to get on the stage. You know somebody’s a nutjob when the likes of Huckabee/Guliani/Romney are giving you a look that says “wow man, you’re fucking nuts.”

Alan Keyes and Michelle Bachmann. The Republicans have a great one-two punch combination. One’s fucking nuts and the other’s nucking futs.Roll up your sleeves Gov. Palin , even you have your work cut out to stay up with this pair.
