Oh brother.

In the House, meantime, leaders of the fiscally conservative Democratic Blue Dog Coalition sent a letter Wednesday to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer urging more scrubbing of the stimulus bill when the House revisits the bill in conference.

It should be increasing in size, not shrinking. Hasn’t anyone in the “fiscally conservative” group read an economics article recently?

    As much as it really, actually, pains me to say it, I have to acknowledge as impressive what the Repube-licans are doing as a minority. They don’t control the house, the senate, or the presidency, but they’re organized, unified, and vocal. They’ve got people on every single channel repeating their talking points, they’ve managed to force concessions on the biggest, most important bill around while still voting unanimously against it. They’re demanding that their stupid, stupid ideas get not only heard but implemented, and it’s friggin’ working.So I guess my questions are:a) What the hell were the Democratic minorities (and even majorities!) doing until now? How did they get shut out so completely while the Repube-licans can get their way so often?b) With Democratic minorities proving that minorities don’t have to be listened to, why are the Repube-licans having their stupid, stupid ideas listened to?

    Huge fan hereThey’re pushy, throw fits, cant control they negative, rude rhetoric: A bunch of 2-year-olds.Being undeveloped in their thinking, incurious by (Party)definition-conservative, and unorigonal, we see same-old, same-ole talking points parroted and spread through our media by stars posing as reporters. This makes their jobs easy and pleases the sponsers. I have to turn it off but want to know what they are saying. I get the scoop from Huffington Post, where I found you and often post yours and others articles to my facebook page appreciated by all my “friends” at least.You have to admit we democrats dont come up with sound bites very often but look deeply and think ideas through leading to more ideas, sometimes even to solutions.I have faith Obama can handle this. He’s doing a Media blitz right now. They can get used to it.
