Wingnut Revolution Fail

Malkin is griping about how one of her “Tea Parties” in Cedar Rapids was stymied by state officials who prevented the wingnut revolutionaries from dumping tea into the Cedar River.

Two questions:

1) Why tea? Is tea asking for help with its mortgage?

2) THEY ASKED STATE OFFICIALS IF THEY COULD DUMP TEA IN THE RIVER?

I know the Pajamas people recommended to their fellow revolutionaries that they’d need to seek the proper permits — permits for their revolution. But they asked the state if they could dump tea in the river?

Good golly. The corpse of Sam Adams clawed his way out of his grave just to point and laugh at these dipshits.

The reactionaries are not very good at revolution.

Considering who they are and who they represent, perhaps they should be dumping oxycotin in the river. Then we could see if Rush floats…….

By the way, my institution of higher learning taught me that the tax rate in America has been as high as 94%. Yup, 94% in 1949 on incomes higher than $200,000. See we used to pay for wars back in the day and for some reason we didn’t become socialist Europe.Imagine if President Obama said 94%. You would watch the MSM start taking shits on their desks for the remaining 3 plus years of President Obama’s first and only term. Not to mention immediate calls for impeachment from Congress.I think that the power class will be just fine with 39% and closing corporate loopholes.

Michelle’s last line of the post:”What would the founding fathers say?”Yes, what would the founding fathers say? After all, it’s taught in all history books that the Sons of Liberty obtained the proper permits before dumping tea into Boston Harbor. Way to show your revolutionary spirit! We’re going to protest these unfair taxes, unless you tell us we can’t.

asking the government if they have the right to revolt against them? Unbelievable. Stand up for your rights. Get yourself arrested, make headlines and draw attention to your cause. And they call themselves Americans.

  • GIthePotato

Curly,I would be drinking that river with my crazy straw. Leave my legal opiates alone. Now marijuana that shit will kill your ass and is a gateway drug that leads to selling your body for another fix.

    I need a dime-bag, who’s up for a full-body massage?Let me just get the proper permits, first.

Matt, that was FUCKING awesome. That means Joe Biden was right.Kyle, permit granted.

Why tea indeed!Because it’s high taxes on tea that’s keeping people from paying down their mortgage? Because they’re mad at bailing out Big Tea while all the tea moguls fly around in private jets? Because Obama’s tea czar recommended less oversight for the tea industry? It must be because they’d look pretty dumb calling it a Tea Party and not dumping tea off a boat, right? I mean, how dumb would THAT be?

I think they’d get more attention if they threw Malkin in the river. Probably don’t need a permit to swim.

  • AdyLeigh

Kyle, lol. These people are starting to scare me…okay, they’re amusing me even more if they’re just talking about tea, but I was actually asked if I would be attending some sort of “revolt” scheduled for this weekend here in Upstate, SC. But, come on…are the southerners REALLY willing to part with their tea?

What do you expect? Conservatism by its very nature is about preserving the status quo. The idea of revolutionary change is against their nature.

This article digs deep into this “popular” movement. Jeez. That’s some scary stuff.

“What we discovered is that Santelli’s “rant” was not at all spontaneous as his alleged fans claim, but rather it was a carefully-planned trigger for the anti-Obama campaign. In PR terms, his February 19th call for a “Chicago Tea Party” was the launch event of a carefully organized and sophisticated PR campaign, one in which Santelli served as a frontman, using the CNBC airwaves for publicity, for the some of the craziest and sleaziest rightwing oligarch clans this country has ever produced. Namely, the Koch family, the multibilllionaire owners of the largest private corporation in America, and funders of scores of rightwing thinktanks and advocacy groups, from the Cato Institute and Reason Magazine to FreedomWorks. The scion of the Koch family, Fred Koch, was a co-founder of the notorious extremist-rightwing John Birch Society.

Uhhhhhh, what’s up with the ad in German over on the left of the screen above the search bar? Is that Wilkommen University? Their slogan – Tomorrow Belongs To Us…..

  • http://www.broadwaycarl.blogspot.com Broadway Carl

I don’t understand. You mean the founding fathers didn’t ask permission from King George III to protest and throw tea into Boston Harbor? They didn’t have a “Free Speech Zone” set up in the square? Damn government, always ruining everything!

Michelle’s last line of the post:

“What would the founding fathers say?”

So where are all the “Your Hurricane is not my problem?” signs?

  • rick390

I would most willingly help to pay for the permit if we could stuff Malkin with tea and dump her in the river.

  • J M Ashby

I think the founding fathers would say Malkin is a traitor and a charloten.
