Damn that was great. Give that mayor a raise and healthcare for life. And please, somebody please slap that sorry fox anchor upside the head. I just wanted to choke him for the way he was leading the questions and goading the guest…That is the reason I cannot watch that channel even to check what the other side is saying. How many people want to scream the same thing that mayor did????

Well day-UM! Go, Virg. I just moved from Lansing two years ago and I’m so pleased to see Virg getting some national attention. Well done, suh, well done.

Good job not taking the bait. He said what needed to be said rather than just sit back and stammer out a defense against lies (can nobody put that whole “auto workers make $70/hour” myth away once and for all?).

I just wish he would have commented about the propriety of one part of News Corp. quoting and editorial from another part of News Corp. as fact. When the anchor brings up the $70 figure, he is in fact bringing up health care and pensions.

That made me smile.

Awesome. I always love it when a Fox guest comes prepared with facts that aren’t covered by the newsreader’s prepared talking points. It’s so obvious he had nothing to say in reply.

Came to say what Mike said – the $70 figure includes obligations relative to health care and pension benefits.How very like a Fox News anchor to not understand the words spilling from his own mouth, accuse those who provide cogent responses of missing the point, and then restate the question in another way which only further reveals that his blithering idiocy is merely the facade behind which he disguises his incompetent ignorance.

The fact that my mother still receives my late father’s pension is no reason GM cannot build a car that Americans will buy.

The anchor has a point, but not one he meant to make — Health benefits (lifetime or otherwise) are a *huge* cost to American business and until those costs are taken off the table and contained they will continue to be a drag on business. The point the host didn’t mean to make was that GM, Ford, and Chrysler need to be spending a good portion of their lobbying dollars getting a national health plan that works.

It is an amazing thing to see a commentator reduced to nothing by bringing up a subject that he’s out of touch on. Seems to be something that FOX can’t grip.I am proud to hear a politician who is honest. It’s time to take back our country. Let’s nominate this guy for Senate or House. I’m serious.
