Obama Bipartisanship

Robert Gibbs today:

I saw some of Senator Collins’s [R-ME] remarks on one of the cable channels earlier today, and she said she’d had a good conversation with the President. And the President had, in some ways, convinced her that we needed a package that met the size and the scope of our problems.

I think that’s bipartisanship.

Exactly. Especially the “good conversation” part. People are running around all over the damn place suggesting that the president somehow promised half-and-half legislation. The president promised civility, and he’s delivering civility. That doesn’t mean he can’t take a stand or push his agenda to the letter.

Someone PLEASE pull Senator Lindsey “Fucking” Graham off the national stage. Why is his jowly red face on Hardball? Why is Chris Matthews giving Graham, a discredited Republican, a chance to spew his stupid shit?I don’t understand this AT ALL.
