Quote of the Day

“I really don’t understand how bipartisanship is ever going to work when one of the parties is insane. Imagine trying to negotiate an agreement on dinner plans with your date, and you suggest Italian and she states her preference would be a meal of tire rims and anthrax.”

That may deserve an even more esteemed spot than just quote of the day!Insane pretty well sums it up, after all, we’ve all heard the old phrase “to repeat the same thing over and over and expect a different result is the true definition of insanity”.Or as Jon Stewart put it recently, paraphrasing, “the Republican’s are with tax cuts like grandma with the chicken soup”!

Republicans and Democrats have two different philosophies on the economy. Both have worked, and both have failed in the past. The economy moves in cycles. No amount of partisan sniping can change that.

Chris -Please point to one instance in which Voodoo economics worked. The Supply side bullshit was never tried in a large fashion until Reagan. All observable evidence indicates that Voodoo Economics is a dismal failure. This is not partisan sniping, it is simply a recognition of reality. The trickle down in the past eight years all trickled down into the Chinese economy while our economy got flushed down the toilet. If I hear ‘Supply Side Economics’ one more time I am going to capture the person that said it and hold them as an enemy of the people. Why do Republicans hate U.S. citizens so much? Why have all of our jobs been shipped overseas? How is having everyone in the U.S. unemployed good for us?”When the people that make products can’t afford to buy the products that they make, you do not have a long term sustainable economy.” – Henry Ford.Shipping our jobs to China was a short term stunt that has now come home to roust.
