Quote of the Day

“When it comes to how we approach the issue of fiscal responsibility, again, it’s a little hard for me to take criticism from folks about this recovery package after they’ve presided over a doubling of the national debt. I’m not sure they have a lot of credibility when it comes to fiscal responsibility.”
—President Obama in his first prime time press conference.

Hell, yeeeeessssss!Veralynn, thanks for making me a friend. In President Obama speak, I unclenched my fist for you!

  • natasha

Thank you! My favorite line from the entire address!

  • edzeppelin

I thought the presser was great for Obama and he took significant whacks at the Republican critics, but I agree with Chuck Todd that the one thing that could have improved this presser was if it happened a week ago.

Oh cool. David Axelrod just told us that size matters, and larger is better. Now, HE’s the kinda guy I can believe in!Axelrod’s a ladies man…spread the word. We can finally put the size argument to rest. That’s awesome.

  • veralynn

I unclinch back Ady, wasn’t that great?!

  • AdyLeigh

Veralynn, the less fist clenching in this world the better! (Please note: I am in NO way making a statement about fisting). The following Senators make me feel yucky:Senator Lindsey GrahamSenator John McCainSenator Bill (or Ben-whatever) Nelson.Ick.What do we do now, Veralynn? Can you play outside tomorrow after you finish your chores?

  • veralynn

  • veralynn

are you on the other thread Ady?

  • CS

Sadly, I agree. I’ve been pretty disappointed with the GOP’s spending practices over the past few years in Congress.

  • Jeff

He’s obviously been reading this blog!

  • JG

The thing that pisses me off about this is if there was even a modicum of truth in journalism, the right wing would not be able to float their BULLSHIT.You ZERO CRED plank is genius–as well as the accompanying essay, but it is beyond OBVIOUS and so sad that our media is complicit in advancing the ZERO CRED bullshit.

  • cminri

Bob was on the cutting edge (yet again) of Zero Cred.

I totally thought of you when he said that, Bob! Zero cred indeed. From the Bob’s blog to the president’s mouth to our ears. Heh.
