The Fundamentals Of The Economy Are Strong

Does anyone really give a shit about what John McCain has to say about the economy?

Talk about zero cred.

Note to anyone in Washington: Keep John McCain far, far away from anything having to do with the economy.

On my way to Taco Bell a couple of nights ago, I was behind a guy driving a Jetta with a McCain-Palin sticker still on the back of it. I almost barfed.

Seems to me that Grampy McSame is off his meds again — one of his nurses (maybe Cindy) needs to whisper into his Alzheimer’s-laden brain “Psst, John — YOU LOST!!”

MSNBC seems fascinated by his every word – and how he knows exactly what America needs to move this economy forward.Short-term memory loss obviously

“Obama defeated McCain for the presidency last fall.”He is desperate to be relevant again. Mavericky. It’s very Mavericky to oppose the other party.

As I have been watching CSPAN all afternoon, because the MSM is making me sick. I saw Lieberman actually put forward the best metaphor about the congress’ actions on the economy. Something about the economy being a house on fire and congress are the firefighters but have pulled the fire truck over. I am very happy that McCain has been shut out of the process. However, the GOP can’t stop sucking his dick about how wonderful his amendment was. This thing is getting bigger every hour. Watch CSPAN not MSM to lower blood pressure. GOP Senators don’t have the balls to pull a stunt like the House. This thing is a go. My hero Jim Webb needs to shut up about making the bill smaller. I am an american and only like big things. When this bill passes and it is bigger and than has GOP support they will have nothing left to say about fiscal responsibility and everything President Obama wants will go through.

Niall Ferguson of the HuffingtonPost is a very intellect economic historian. His new article is good food for thought, if one is rationally disposed.”The delusion that a crisis of excess debt can be solved by creating more debt is at the heart of the Great Repression. Yet that is precisely what most governments currently propose to do.”http://www.huffingtonpost.com/niall-ferguson/beyond-the-age-of-leverag_b_163872.htmlS364 Billion in interest is what will be paid for this spending bill according to the CBO, over half of what was pledged for TARP.Smart Government?

Andy “Zero Cred” Card: Obama should show respect for the Office; wear a suit and tie……while u rape the constitution, pillage the treasury, torture and start a deadly illegal war it’s important to dress well.Andy, what’d u and Gonzofredo talk about on the bus on the way over to the hospital 2 visit Ashcroft and slide that silly little document under his drugged-up nose u wanted him to sign?

If this giant crap sandwich is passed, i am going to stop paying taxes. I do not need what this house and senate and whitehouse is selling. If all of you idiots actually read the entire plan, yes it takes a good long while, but this is our money and all of us will have to pay for it for years and years, you will see that 90% of this shit is just to enlarge government. You will not get a job out of this, you will get to stand in line for your handout from the government. This is communism-plain and simple, the government giving you what they think that you need, not what you ask for or would go out and get without interference from big brother. I do not want to live in communist america. Its here and I am not going to be part of it, or pay for it. No taxation without representation!!!!!!!

Well Barack Obama once said “the surge” would increase violence in Iraq. So I guess we should’nt listen to him on military issues. Joe Biden also said Iraq should be divided into 3 different sections. So, he’s out too…Partisan crap can go both ways.

    >>If this giant crap sandwich is passed, i am going to stop paying taxes.Good luck with that. This bill will create 2.9 million jobs in 2009 alone. And you’re against that?Hey — were you for or against the “crap sandwich” spending bills the Republicans passed for Iraq?

  • Chris

Create 2.9 million jobs? We have no way of knowing that. Unless you take the word of the government as gospel. And if so, good luck with that.

  • http://www.bobcesca.com Bob Cesca

    >>>Well Barack Obama once said “the surge” would increase violence in Iraq.It would have, were it not for the Sunni awakening which was entirely unrelated to the surge. Besides, the Iraq invasion and occupation was a phenomenal mistake in the first place and President Obama was against it from the beginning. Right about now, don’t you think that maybe we should’ve invested all that cash in the American economy?

    >>>Create 2.9 million jobs? We have no way of knowing that. Unless you take the word of the government as gospel. And if so, good luck with that. Then don’t quote a single Republican talking point back at me. Because you just took anyting from the government off the table. You’re a smart troll!

Bob, did you realize that Iraq has cost

Bob, did you realize that Iraq has cost less than 4% of the annual Federal Governments Budget? Even less so now. Much of that money went to pay American troops, and also private contractors, many of them American, and further, services performed by …people! And the future holds for freedom and opportunity to a people that once lived in fear. Many Americans take so much for granted.

  • Chris

I love how anyone who disagrees with extreme irrational liberalism/the NY Times is a “troll” around here.

  • Alan4s

I think your post was garbled origins, but it really doesn’t matter because there is no reason whatsoever that we should have been in Iraq. None.

  • Alan4s

You are free to go elswhere Chris. There are plenty of sites that would welcome your opinions without recognizing you as a troll.

Ahhhh, the return of Ol’ YellaTeeth.McCain’s idea of a stimulus package is Sarah Palin. I remember when he introduced her as his running mate. He keep putting his arm around her, touching her, staring at her ass while she spoke. He has nothing of value to add to the bill. But as a concession to the GOP, maybe they could throw some money at the teeth whitening industry in his honor.

“This is communism-plain and simple, the government giving you what they think that you need, not what you ask for or would go out and get without interference from big brother”I don’t think you know what communism is. I’m pretty sure you don’t.

  • Curly Lasagna

    >>…extreme irrational liberalism/the NY Times…Wooo….that pairing gave me a crazy rush of cognitive dissonance.

  • Chris

Is the NY Times part of the “vast right wing conspiracy”?

  • Curly Lasagna

Judith Miller kinda was. You draw your conclusion, I’ll draw mine.

  • http://www.broadwaycarl.blogspot.com Broadway Carl

The NY Times still as David Brooks on their payroll too. So, yeah, I’m drawing my own conclusions.

And the future holds for freedom and opportunity to a people that once lived in fear. Many Americans take so much for granted.Let me start off by saying you are an asshole. 95,000 dead Iragis. 4 million displaced Iraqis. 4500 dead American soldiers. Not to mention the 30,000 physically wounded soldiers because there are no mentally scares from war. All of these numbers come from the ever so non partisan Pentagon so take these numbers for what they are worth. What is the cost of this? Can you put a price tag on human life? Money well spent right? FUCK OFF!!

Every single Iraq Veteran I have spoken to (about 14) have said the same thing. The operation is Iraq is probably the biggest clusterfuck in U.S. history.I told them that was because it was never about a military operation, it was to pump U.S. taxpayers money into corporations friendly to Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. You know, nice outfits like Halliburton and Blackwater. Each Blackwater mercenary cost us over $700,000 per year. Halliburton was caught accepting $3,000,000,000 in payment of … NOTHING!We have billions for corporate welfare, but nothing for the common citizen. Why do the republicans hate Americans so much?
