    I am impressed. No sarcasm.I am sure that some democrats would have no idea either, but I bet an even larger amount of republicans have no idea what an RSS feed is.

    Thanks, that is what I thought it was but wanted an expert opinion on the subject. This is a promising step forward for a government that is 20 years behind in technology.

    GI - Really Simple Syndication explained at the Wikipedia. As an acronym, RSS has had its meaning changed several times. Originally it stood for RDF Site Summary. It is a markup language based information container used to provide summary notification of new blog/story/article/comment being posted.

    GI -As an engineer, I would have worked up an XML schema specifically for this application since the user base is going to be large.However, RSS tools already exist and the RSS technology is well known. This is a very good utilization of an existing technology for a new purpose. This is to be greatly applauded in my opinion.
