    Can you believe this bullshit? Why is he so negative when talking about the financial crisis? Why is he fearmongering about the economy? I suppose they’re just not used to someone telling them the truth. Sometimes I want to put a nail gun to my head when I watch the very serious cable news.     In a way, I think the very nature of the 24/7 cable news cycle has contributed to the awful state of politics and divisiveness. They have to fill their progamming void…so they repeat the same shit over and over, which has the effect of amplifying things until it reaches a fever pitch and then they sit back and watch the spectacle unfold.

    He campaigned on hope and change. He can and should tell the truth. He can do it in a way that gives us people who voted for him that hope. Hope gives confidence in his ability to make America better. I not only need to hear that, I expect to hear that. Obama is our leader, I expect him to speak in an optismistic manner. The situation is bleak, but there is always hope, and always a way to portray situations in a positive manner. If he doesn’t think it, or can’t say it, how is he going to do it? He should take Clintons advice. Anyway, it’s just his first month.
