Vindicating Steele

Congress has passed the bill, but in the last 48 hours, the Zero Cred Republicans yanked a few more lies out of their collective lie bucket.

● Limbaugh said that you can’t do a text search of the PDF version of the bill. Lie.

● A variety of Republicans claimed that Speaker Pelosi included an earmark for a study on field mice. Lie.

● And Republicans everywhere were griping that the recovery bill was being rushed through Congress because Speaker Pelosi needed to leave for a vacation in Rome. Lie.

Michael Steele is so very right. I feel ashamed to have doubted him. Go Michael Steele!

    Is lying about a product Rush’s idea of stimulating the economy? I hope some big-wig at Adobe heard Rush trying to dismiss their product as some “picture viewer”.Please let the Republicans keep Rush as their spokesperson. We might end up with a one party system come 2012.

    Day after day I keep asking myself how the Republicans can do and say the things they do and can only come up with one logical answer. The body snatchers have arrived.

    What was weird to me, was how some of the Republicans took to the floor and waved a thick pile of papers in the air, bitching about not having the chance to read the bill, but whining about very specific things in the bill they disagreed with…made no sense.

    I agree with ceu, I think Rush doesn’t know how to do it and his dittoheads have to take the cue because they don’t use computers. They depend on Rush for information because they don’t know how to find it themselves. He can say anything and they believe it because they have no clue how to fact check.

    Limbaugh, like most Republicans, isn’t real good with things like computers and all those digital doo-dads. Afterall that’s science, and science has cooties.

    Ady -I think God gave them a list of the vast badness contained in the bill.Chris -I suspect you are correct. He’s probably using an Acrobat Reader version that does not do text search. He probably hasn’t bothered to get a newer version for many years. Acroread has not always supported text search, but I forget what version it was added to.I was shocked to discover that the bloated one does his research using the interwebs since that implied that he had figured out how to use a mouse. I thought that anything more complicated than a crack pipe would be too difficult for him.

    Well – perhaps I’m taking this personally but anyway…Michael Steele’s accomplishment in getting elected head of the RNC should not be poo-pooed.The above link may mean that my original position (Steele’s election means progress in the Republican party) may have been wrong (it took folks outside the 50 states to get him elected).Notwithstanding – the fact that he is elected could mean that the republican party is going to put up an aggressive competition for minority votes.And – I wouldn’t sleep him. Disagree with his policies. Consider the republicans repugnant. Loathe their tactics. But sleeping Michael Steele would be a mistake.QT

    it took 6 ballots to get him elected, and he won mostly due to attrition. It was hardly a stampede to try to include minorities in the GOP
