Crazy Quote of the Day

“We are at the point, Sean, of revolution. And by that, what I mean, an orderly revolution — where the people of this country wake up get up and make a decision that this is not going to happen on their watch.” —Michele Bachmann to Sean Hannity

Then do it! What are they waiting for? Until recently, I didn’t think reactionaries could also be revolutionaries. But okay. The Oxymoronic Uprising of 2009!

    put her in jail

  • http://www.politicalpartypooper.wordpress.com politicalpartypooper

Hey, I’ve been revoltimatizing for years! No one cares what I’ve all allowed on my watch. Let’s see…I’ve allowed every single Federal elected official to TOTALLY ignore the fact that Social Security will implode; not a one of them (our president included, and hey, I like him) has the balls to even bring it up.I’ve allowed them to legalize bribery, through campaign and party contributions.Like I said the other day, Republicans do not get that when America “revolts”, we’ll kick BOTH parties out government. Or maybe we can have an “alternative” revolution, where we don’t really revolt per se, but rather, we put a pretty blue cover on a notebook outlining, without any detail whatsoever, how we can revolt.

  • J

“Or maybe we can have an “alternative” revolution, where we don’t really revolt per se, but rather, we put a pretty blue cover on a notebook outlining, without any detail whatsoever, how we can revolt.”This? Is full of win.

  • JackDanieL

I’m no genius, but I often wonder what it would be like – how horrible it would be – to live life as an idiot. With all due respect to whomever he or she was, and obviously in politics anything can happen, but whoever lost to this wingnut skank should reconsider their ‘career’ in politics. Bachman was spitting venom before her election, and STILL beat somebody.Like Bob put it, straight to the point, DO IT!REVOLT YOU FUCKING WIMPSThe Million Hummer March™ on the Capitol starts with YOU!

  • Packy

Bob -Regarding “The Oxymoronic Uprising of 2009…”I think the “Oxy” part can be dropped, and the “m” then capitalized.

  • http://www.thenewwearsoff.com/ Kyle

Michele Bachmann always looks like she’s about to say something crazy–and she never fails to deliver.

  • thespacecowboy

Ok, so is Michele Bachmann then stating that she wants a revolution against the two-party system since ‘her’ party is not in power now?Basically then she wants one-party rule with her party in absolute power.Facism anyone?

  • thespacecowboy

Oh, I forgot to add…Why does Michele Bachmann hate democracy?

  • http://www.politicalpartypooper.wordpress.com politicalpartypooper

I must be fascist then, too, because I want BOTH parties gone. Except for Bob, he can stay.

  • thespacecowboy

naw, ppp, you think and use logic…Granted the parties may suck, our form of government is fine.

  • LMarathon

The way I see it, there is already a revolution happening. It started November 4 and is well under way.Unfortunately for her, she and her party are the target of that revolt. What she’s proposing is obstruction to revolution. No new ideas, just make it stop!!Or as PPP put it, a pretty (yet empty) blue binder (beautiful, btw).

  • christie

Well, like the other batshit crazy Michelle, don’t forget to get your permits, y’all!

  • http://www.thenewwearsoff.com/ Kyle

Fox News does a puff piece.

  • The Dogfather

The Revolution happened last November. Try to keep up, batshit bachmann…

  • SillyRatfacedGit

PPP -APPLAUSEJust about perfect. You left me nothing to add.

  • Curly Lasagna

Lewis Black was correct when he said it is so fucking cold in Minnesota no one in their right mind would want to live there………

  • http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20090326/cm_huffpost/179288 edmund

I enjoyed reading this article however was wondering what does, ‘This is sort of like a fan of the Jonas Brothers accusing Death Cab for Cutie of selling out. ‘ mean?

  • Curly Lasagna

Michele Bachmann, Sean Hannity and “Million Hummer March” combine to form a pretty frightening mental image. I need to Windex my brain…….

  • SillyRatfacedGit

Michele Bachmann is revolting whether or not she is part of a revolution.

  • eve

Michele Bachmann would be selling some rubbish in multilevel marketing if she wasn’t in Congress.Still, I am hoping for a Bachmann/Palin ticket in 2012. :)

  • Mr. Lancers

If you’re gonna start a revolution Michelle Bachmann, please take Victoria Jackson with you. Doctors don’t want her left alone all by herself without adult supervision.

  • The Colonel

We should put Bachmann & Glenn Beck in a huge glass jar, close the lid (with holes poked through, of course) … and just see what happens.

  • jenski42

    PPP FTW.

  • Jeff

the orderly revolution already happened when Obama trounced the republicans in the 08 election. Why would the same voters who brought him into office now revolt against him for following through on the campaign promises that they voted for? Bachmann is a sideshow and nothing more.

  • J

Seriously, does anyone know one of Michele Bachman’s constituents who voted for her? Can we get one of them on here to explain WHY??

  • Lulu

OK, now I am confused. I was with her on the whole armed and dangerous thing. But a week later she wants this to be an “orderly” revolution? So, am I supposed to put down my assault rifle and bring a broom and some Windex? Or my Franklin Planner maybe?

  • Sierradrinker

“What I would say is that the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look. I wish they would. I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out, are they pro-America or anti-America? I think people would love to see an expose like that.” – Michelle BachmannPerhaps they should start with members of congress from the 6th district of Minnesota. If she’s calling for a reveolution against a democratically elected government, isn’t that anti-American?And someone please explain to me how a democratically elected leader making good on the campaign promises that got him elected is tyranny.Wait I think I understand…if you allow tax breaks for the top 5% to expire (even though most of those top 5% voted for Obama), that’s tyranny. If you ignore 49% the needs and wishes of all Americans who didn’t vote for you, that’s democracy!

  • Alex

Sierra,It’s only anti-American when we do it. It’s patriotic when they do.

  • Tusz

J: From what I understand, she has one of the most staunchly conservative districts in the entire country. And she still almost lost it to a Democrat in November after her little McCarthy spiel. In fairness to her, though, she probably honestly means well. She wants her followers to mobilize and become activists, rather than actual armed revolution. She’s just really, really bad at picking metaphors. Like, borderline riot-incitement level here. But that falls back on another piece of failed logic. As others have pointed out, we had the revolution she’s talking about, and it worked. The thing is, her side lost. If she wants to have another go at the Regularly Scheduled Revolution, she’ll get to wait a year and a half. Maybe she’ll say something dumb enough to actually get booted out next time around.

  • 24hourjack

    dude,come on.theyre crazy,not brave.

  • JackDanieL

An orderly revolution!!!Seriously, some self-respecting Minnesotan needs to flip her upside down and take a giant shit in her c–tFreedomLoaf™

  • D. C.

Just think, we get to hear more of these kinds of crybaby sour grapes for at least the next four years.I’ve long been convinced that republicans believe their party has a divine right to be in power 100%. They can’t help but believe that any time they don’t control the White House, the forces of Satan rule. It just drives them insane.

  • kemstone

NEVER in the history of mankind has there been a REVOLUTION of a small minority, led by those in the RULING CLASS against the MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION in order to PRESERVE THE STATUS QUO!

  • TS Grissom

Fact:(Quote from: http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20090320/pl_mcclatchy/3193602_1“)”By Kevin G. Hall and David Lightman, McClatchy Newspapers Kevin G. Hall And David Lightman, Mcclatchy Newspapers – Fri Mar 20, 6:23 pm ETWASHINGTON — The national debt held by the public would double over the next decade if President Barack Obama’s budget is enacted into law, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projected Friday. The U.S. government would run budget deficits approaching $1 trillion every year for a decade under Obama’s budget, the CBO said.Deficits and debt that big are unsustainable over the long term, economists agree. They’d threaten to send inflation spiraling upward, threaten the nation’s creditworthiness and the value of the dollar — China’s prime minister publicly voiced concern about the safety of U.S. debt last week — and force up interest rates, as investors come to see the United States as a risky, debt-ridden economy. They’d saddle future generations with a debt payable only by cutting federal spending or raising taxes sharply.”President Maobama is a fool. We can’t run this nation on hope. We need to cut budget expenditures. He will not… he will only increase expenditures, and try to offset that increased debt by raising taxes and passing spending bills.Impeach Maobama now, before the damage he intends to do to this country is irreparable!

  • JackDanieL

Sorry Taint Sucker Grissom (hey, I figured while we are making up names for people, I’d join in!), but we the people resoundingly won the past two elections. Therefore, we now have the right and absolute power to support our President’s plans to be the Supreme Muslim/Christian Socialist/Elitist Ruler of TehUniverse™ as he enacts groundbreaking legislation to ensure that America is pulverized by our enemies for being too weak, and paralyzed by the economic collapse that all of us voted for and the President is hoping so badly will come to fruition. I mean, I’m sure that’s why he took the job, because he hates making money as a lawyer, and would rather run the country into the ground, RIGHT?DANGIT WHERE’S SARAH PALIN WHEN YOU NEED HER TO FIX EVERYTHING?You see, we know that you and your ilk are way smarter than us (even though you trivialize education and intelligence), and always have the right answer, even though for a majority of the past 30 years, you have failed to get ANYTHING right. We know in our hearts that the GOP truly cares about the lower and middle class, even though they demean community service and activism, and even after we have watched every major corporation shake us by our collective ankles for our last bit of spare change, while you sing the praises of TrickleDown Economics and tax cuts for the top 1%. Don’t worry, we realize that it is just part of your 30 year plan to lose the reigns of power just long enough for some uppity negro to fuck it all up so you guys could say “We told you so!”Either that or you are truly a treasonous sack of shit…po-tay-to, po-tah-to

  • JackDanieL

Yo, Troglodyte Shithead, why didn’t YOU run for President? After all, the guy who won “is a fool”.Not to mention you seem to have all the answers (something even the Grand ol Pampers party has yet to unveil). We need to do THIS, not THAT.RIGHT?Zero Cred.

  • SillyRatfacedGit

President Maobama is a fool. We can’t run this nation on hope.

Isn’t that cute. Adding Ma to Obama so that it starts with Mao. Wake up Mr. Grissom. We are going to nationalize your house next week. You’ll be sharing it with homeless unemployed whose jobs were shipped overseas by your corporate masters.

We need to cut budget expenditures.

Where were you the past eight years while BushCo poured billions of dollars of public funds down ratholes name Halliburton and KBR?News Flash you propagandized, misinformed, automaton of capitalism: You lost the election. We are going to do things our way now whether you like it or not. You guys got to fuck things up for 20 out of the last 28 years. You’ll have to go fuck yourselves now because you don’t get to fuck us anymore.Take your supply side, trickle down, tax cuts for the rich and corporations, Voodoo economics bullshit and fuck yourself with it. You are not going to inflict that ridiculous nonsense on us anymore. Fuck. Off.

  • TS Grissom

It’s kinda interesting to me how, in order to present your collective points of view in response to what I have said, had to resort to attacks of a personal nature instead of staying on the topic. Kinda sad. If you can’t get your point across nicely, make LOUD NOISES, right?!I guess if disagreeing with the current administration makes me a “treasonous sack of shit,” then that’s what I am. I’m not going to agree with the current liberal policies. What about when you guys were all clamoring and saying that Former President Bush was a fool? That makes you patriotic and when I do the same towards President Obama, I’m treasonous? I love double standards.

  • SillyRatfacedGit

I didn’t call you treasonous. I called you misinformed and propagandized. It certainly appears that you are. If you believe that the policies of the Republican party were actually good for this country, then please provide some evidence to support your risible contention. You don’t like liberal policies, I don’t like fascism. The policies you seem to support are fascism by another name.Exactly what is better now about this country than what we had in 1999?I don’t see a single improvement since 1999. I see only a continual degrading of this nation. Actual earnings have declined. They even began to measure things differently to hide the reality. We don’t want your proven to be flawed in major ways policies anymore. We won the election. Go pound sand up your trickle down hole.
