    Newt is a sleaze…and someone who really could help steer the GOP right now. The man sees what the party is doing to itself.Rush going after him proves, again, that Rush is about Rush and he will applaud the sinking of the GOP ship as long as it makes him more money.

    This was a huge mistake on Rush’ part. Newt Gingrich is the one Republican Rush Limbaugh cannot defeat, or intimidate. This should get interesting.

    good point, pooper.Newt is not in office and thus doesn’t have to worry about losing his office. So Rush can’t do anything to him.Elsewhere I had said a couple of weeks age that Newt would probably be the repub to stand up to Rush.If Newt caves and apologizes I will be really surprised.

    I can’t stand Newt but he did, in a sense, take on and defeat Bill Clinton. I really think he’s the only republican who currently stands a chance of actually winning as many as 200 electoral votes against Obama in 2012, assuming things don’t get FAR worse than they are now. The republican nominee is either newt or someone we barely know yet, if at all. And Rush is tearing him down. Fine.
