Apparently Jake Tapper was the first to hype the Special Olympics story last night. And now he's angry that it's become such a media distraction -- what with the economy, two wars, etc, etc. Of course, this is like pulling a fire alarm in a crowded mall then complaining about how there's no shopping for an hour.
Anyway, Tapper has since blocked Adam Serwer from the American Prospect and David Kurtz from TPM from Tapper's Twitter.
Then there's the general MSNBC angle on this story today. Paraphrasing something Alex Witt asked a guest this morning: "Will this Special Olympics story become a big distraction in the media for the president?" I don't know, Media Distraction Monger, you tell me.
