    Yeah,spring break! I’m actually on spring break this week, and am writing this from Cancun. (Cancun looks a lot like my dining room table, for some reason.)

    Primus, in my opinion, really sucked hard. Les Claypool could play the shit out of his bass, but the band’s compositions sounded like bad noodling led by someone who has no ear for subtlety. If you want rad rock bass chops, check out Mark King of Level 42, Geddy Lee of Rush, or Marco Mendoza (Blue Murder, Ted Nugent). No one even comes close to these three.

    You’ve got a point there. They’re a novelty, quite entertaining, but who wants to listen to their music over and over. The songs, all about beavers and race-car drivers aren’t really engaging, and did you understand a word he was saying? Still, he’s got talent on the bass, to be sure.
