Where the Wild Things Are – Official Trailer

Adding… I love that the Wild Things are real life suits and not CG. There’s sooo much more heart and soul to the characters.

Boy, I hated reading this book to my kids when they were young. They seemed to like it though,

I’m so tired of this nonsense that looks like a goddamn cartoon in the middle of a supposedly real setting.I love Zack Snyder, but I believe that he totally ruined the Watchmen movie by adding CGI effects to even the most basic shots in that movie. THAT is what killed it most. It was based on a graphic novel that earned its praise on seemingly realistic (aside from Manhattan) and human (again, aside from Manhattan) heroes.R.I.P. Stan Winston; let’s hope that the art of REAL, physical special effects didn’t die with him.

Bob, are you LISTENING TO Dr Brzezinski on Stoogeborough right now? He wants to get his hands on hedge fund king John Paulson’s stash. There it is: Class resentment and wealth distribution, baby.

That may be the movie I go to see for my one-per-decade theatre watch. I’m late–the last was the Star Trek movie in late ’96 or early ’97. Now to sell a major item for financing popcorn with it…

    “…and it was still hot.”

Thanks for posting Bob, that made me cry.

SQQUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!I understand what you’re saying about the cg. It’s overused when it should be much more subtle.

Wow! Some of the visuals match the book exactly. I can’t wait to see this one. Max is on sort of a kids’ version of Conrad’s Heart of Darkness trip.

When my son was 4 or 5, Where the Wild Things Are was too easy for him… and I bought it for him anyway. It was just one of THOSE books – a favorite of mine, and a book that was fun to read to him, despite that he could read it himself. (Elizabeth – really? Why’d you hate to read it to your kid?)I’m thrilled with this trailer! :) QT
