Morning Joe

I just turned on MSNBC in time to hear Joe Scarborough say:

Watching Barack Obama use a teleprompter as much as he did in press conferences, leads me to wonder why George W. Bush didn’t do the same thing over the past eight years.

First, President Obama used a teleprompter for his opening remarks. But Scarborough seemed to imply that President Obama uses a teleprompter throughout the event for his Q&A responses as well. That’s simply not true and Scarborough is clearly playing to the Malkin wingnuts. Because he’s so even-handed. And he hates partisan bickering.

But if they’re going to turn “teleprompter” into a bad word, good luck running Sarah Palin for president in 2012.

I wish Robert Reich would become press secretary for the Treasurer. Did anyone see him go toe-to-toe with George Will?

Joe is such a pompous ass. I rarely listen anymore. I discovered DVR and watch the late-night fare from the previous one. It feels much better that way.I so look forward to a Blathering Idiot/Mr. Rogers ticket in ’12. Could it get any more entertaining than those debates?

Howard Dean just called bullshit on Doucheborough. It made my morning. The bullshit was, “Obama’s just as reckless with spending as Bush!” That made me ill until Dean shut him the fuck up. Without even using the WAR spending. Dean said that we may actually make money on the Toxic Asset deal(not holding my breath). Dean said that we/USA aren’t competitive with those socialist bastards in Canada because of health care cost.

I love that Howard Dean is on MSNBC!That’s the new GOP meme/theme: Obama is an empty suit, needs a teleprompter, etc. The wingnut blogs love to go on about BO hesitating when he answers without the teleprompter, etc. Hysterically funny considering the previous occupant; Letterman effectively shot that down the other night. That said, watch the GOP Elitists continue to hammer that one.

Bob, you know how I feel about Joe Scarborough – I want you to take that bottom feeder down already. :) I want you to rip the bark off that Eddie Haskell-esque republican so much that I’m going to try to call into you and Lee’s radio show to implore you to do so.

come on bob,its obvious this guy is lost w/out the teleprompter.i mean, just look at how horrible he did during the 3 debates w/mccain.oh wait…he actually cleaned mccains clock all 3 times and every single poll said so.but certainly he was using a teleprompter during the dozens of townhalls he did over 2 yrs of campaigning right?or the more than twenty primary debates?this is merely the latest example of the right completely,100 pct manufacturing a bullshit issue and pounding away at it(with plenty of help from the “liberal mainstream media”,just because it sounds good and superdouchey teabagger types will eat it up.

Did you see the wingnut “economist” Morning Joke had on his morning? This guy spends his entire career predicting catastrophe and, wouldn’t you know it, one finally happens!!! What a prophet! Now Joke gets him on his “news” show and lets this very serious “economist” talk about how it’s not the AIG executives’ fault that they insured all of these bad loans. It’s the government’s fault! If only they had deregulated further and – let’s be frank – the guy wants the government to hang itself from the top of the AIG, I mean AIU Holdings, building (figuratively speaking, of course. But seriously). The only thing missing was the indomitable Mark Halperin to enlighten us with his conventional wisdom on the subject.

Looks like cnn and nbc are taking the smack down of Ed Henry and Chuck Todd a little personally.I like the “jerk store” analogy from mediamatters

Looks like cnn and nbc are taking the smack down of Ed Henry and Chuck Todd a little personally.

Well maybe if they didn’t ask the stupidest questions of the evening, it wouldn’t be a story.Ed Henry likes to make waves. And asking the president why it took two days to show emotion toward the AIG bailouts was idiotic.Chuck Todd asking about what citizens should sacrifice? The same citizens that have lost millions of jobs, lost their homes, living in tent cities and at the very least lost over half of their retirement funds? Those citizens, Chuck? I think he’s been in the D.C. bubble too long.Awesome job by two “leaders” of the MSM Press corps.

WHY is the sex toy war between Morning Joe and The View not getting play over here?In the name of all that is Holy, Cesca! Joe Scarborough making Mika tres uncomfortable yammering over female orgasm devices based off stuff Barbara Walters said???It’s a dodecafecta of cringey opportunity. There hasn’t been anything this postable and delicious since the great hexadecimal loofah crash. This is better than four toe-tapping Senators, three Congressional pages, two Ted Haggards and a partridge in a sex shoppe. It’s four double D-cells of magic rabbit rocketry. The sybian saddle rides into the Stygian stables of greasy stained cotton undies.I demand this blog get to stooping low enough to crawl under the bar. Fuck high jumping! The time has come to LIMBO, baby!

    >Chuck Todd asking about what citizens should sacrifice? That’s code for Medicare, Social Security, and SSI recipients getting off gov’ment tit don’t cha know?

Hey Carl, I get it. I watched the presser too. Hence the Jerk Store reference.

This is a trick question right? everyone knows Bush reads at a third grade level, they can’t make a teleprompter writer dumb it down that far!
