Quote of the Day

“It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak.”
—President Obama in his second prime time press conference responding to a question about why he waited to respond on the AIG bonuses.

Excellent.

Zing of the day!(I tried to find the sealab clip on the youtube… but no luck. Youtube can be such a mailbox head!)

I thought that was an awesome line. CNN felt totally burned by it and were saying after “well the president was obviously defensive”. no, it was just a really dumb question.

    BAM!!!!

This was, by far and away, the highlight of the press conference.

I can still see the handprint on Ed Henry’s face.

See, he can’t do anything without that teleprompter. oh wait… hmmm well that is awkward isn’t it.Next time cnn brings up the teleprompter non issue let’s hope they replay that one.

my real question is about Chuck Todd ‘s question ???WTH???? and what koolaid does he drink ????question:Chuck Todd leapfrogs Marc Ambinder’s potential question with this actual one: “Why haven’t you asked for something specific that the public should be sacrificing to participate in this economic recovery?”Obama spoke to us like we have brains- wish there had been more than 4 economic questions.

I saw that tonight and added “…got that, bitch?

  • linus

HA! i was thinking about the old teleprompter too, and pres.o totally creamed the WH press corps. the bitch slap (no offense to bitches) to ed henry was particularly fabulous. and i saw on msnbc today that chuck todd was asking for people to send in questions for the president online, and that’s what he came up with? what a chucktard! (no offense to chucktards, anywhere, or the special olympics) can you even imagine bush doing such an event? HA! JEEZ, I LOVE THIS GUY! OUR PRESIDENT!

Yeah, I mean yeahHere’s two takes on that one. He was referring to GW Bush OR Ed Henry. You’re right Bob. The O is driving the media monkey show to sitting in the corner and eating poop along with the right wingnuttery.

  • 24hourjack

rove loves to defend bush spending by reminding us that bush had to deal with two wars,9/11 and katrina.ummm….unless im really out of touch,we still have two wars going on,bush never rebuilt new orleans properly(or at all in some cases),and im pretyy sure terrorists are still plotting to murder americans.which reminds me…republicans go to great lengths to avoid speaking the name “bush” whenever possible.but when backed into a corner they always,ALAYS justify his entire presidency with “he kept us safe after 9/11″.so lets just remember that in 2012,by wingnut logic,if after 4 yrs of obama we have had only one historically tragic attack on american soil,it wont matter what happens w/ the economy or anything else, pres. obama will have been a success.
