some guy called me a not cute unfunny bitch yesterday. taken aback by that, i examined myself (in the mirror. i think i’m okay. hehe), my actions, and my personality. i did all this from one random douche with hurt feelings saying this to me! how can this idiot see absolutely no connection with being labeled a “kook” for her entire career (and probably life. come on, this level of crazy has to be passed down in the breast milk!) with her actually being a “kook”?! i can not grasp the level of brazen stupidity in these people!

Unless kook = “Delusional Christofascist ideologue lacking in understanding of Tyrany, Free Elections, and Constitutionally mandated government,” I’m not at all certain that kook is a good label. Most kooks are not revolting, just amusing. Admittedly, it’s a start.

silly, if you have ever been surfing and seen a guy drop in on someone already on the wave, you would know that “kook” is said two seconds before that person gets something broken! but i agree outside of the surfing community kook is not a bad insult! cescans call each other much worse and we all like each other! (most like each other!) hehe…

Also want to comment on the elastic nature of the term “kook”.Van Gogh was a kook. Cutting off your own ear is pretty solid evidence of that. Still, all the neighbors agreed that there wasn’t something quite right about Vincent. He was obvious “yeah he’s a kook” kook.Thelonius Monk was a kook. Being able to not play the implied note goes a long way as evidence of that. Everyone knew he was half nuts, but he could count. He was of the “We all know he’s a kook, but holy smokin’ fuck who cares” kook.Jeffrey Dahmer was a kook. Killing and eating people is pretty solid evidence of that. If we lived in a civilized country Michele Bachmann would receive the mental health care she so desperately needs. I have become quite convinced that she is suffering from some sort of mental illness. It makes it difficult to ridicule her because I don’t consider her responsible for her behavior. She needs treatment.Van Gogh suffered from temporal epilepsy. He did not see the universe the way normal people do. He painted things the way he saw them. Think about that for a moment.Mental health care is an ignored and very huge problem in this country. We should be ashamed of how it is handled (or not handled actually).
