The Most Childish Thing

On Shuster’s show last night, Ari Fleischer attacked the president and Rahm Emanuel for being childish, and then proceeded to use the “Democrat Party” epithet.

Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff is acting childish, and so is everybody else in the Democrat Party who is picking this ridiculous fight.

What’s more childish than deliberately mispronouncing the name of the opposition party, Ari? You might as well be calling the Democrats “poopy heads” or something. Nate Silver, meanwhile, conducted a quickie survey of far-right sites to calculate the prevalence of this ridiculousness.

Again, this shouldn’t be a matter of Democrats being offended, though. This is about the Republicans being unserious.

They are the party of Permanent Adolescence, not to say downright infantilism. Grossly immature, petulant, retributive, bellicose and passive-aggressive. They are all unconstrained id, unmitigated by superego. The use of “Democrat” instead of “Democratic” is just schoolyard-level bullying. Which of course is their strong suit.

Tit for tat…or in this case, man-tit for tat…On any occasion when some ridiculous GOP whiner starts saying “Democrat party”, the response should be, “When will you Limbaughblicans learn to address your betters by their proper name?”

More evidence of the de facto leadership, in actual numbers.Quinn’s post is really good. Thanks for linking to it, Bob.

Also, isn’t it only childish to talk about Rush Limbaugh if Rush is somehow…embarassing? Otherwise, what’s the problem? Why shouldn’t the White House talk about someone who’s so smart, funny, full of ideas, and a voice for the people? Wouldn’t it be more foolish for the White House to ignore someone so important, so meaningful?

The Market is nose diving….at a new 15 year low. We are sliding head first into a Depression. But lets divert the nation’s attention to making Limbaugh into the Repub spokesperson

If a two letter omission were made to the Republican Party, it should be the first two letters. The Publican Party would have the left side of their name affected which would seem appropriate. And, Publicans were tax collectors for the rich in ancient times. Later it was the name for pub owners and later became slang for pimps due to the nature of the public house business.

That’s perfect: Publicans. Especially considering the history of the term. Thanks, Lyle.I was going to suggest calling them the ‘Republic’ party, but you’ve convinced me otherwise.

The reason Ari Fleischer is on all those talk programs is because he’s been ordered to play defense for Rush. That only attests to the power of Rush.

It’s really quite simple: Republicaniacals are so stupid, so illiterate, that they don’t know a noun from an adjective.
