You Are In So Much Trouble, Jon Stewart

Joe Scarborough is going to totally write an open letter to Arianna Huffington in which he complains that Stewart said bad and mean (yet true) things about him on the Huffington Post (sort of).

And then you’ll be sorry, Jon Stewart. Because Joe Scarborough is all about civilized discourse — ie. not saying bad things about Joe Scarborough.

Scarborough is the strong safety who plays the man, not the ball…and draws the EFFING STUPID pass interference calls.

Does Jim Cramer have that much power that he can get his friends on the MSM to dog pile on Jon Stewart?Does he run a Hedge Fund for Scarborough? “See Huffpo”

  • SillyRatfacedGit

Cramer is scheduled to appear on tomorrow night’s Sail Show. I don’t think that this will work out well for Cramer. He’ll probably cancel at the last moment when it hits him that this is a bad idea. If Cramer was smart, obviously he’s not, he would just ignore Stewart and hope it all blows over.Joe, on the other hand, deserves everything Stewart will give him and then some. Joe hasn’t got the brains to battle Jon.Stock Advice: Reddenbacher – Strong Buy.

Speaking of Scarborough, dickish-ness and HuffPo…Why isn’t Bob in the top spot anymore? A couple of weeks ago, I said I was concerned Bob would get kicked around for telling the truth about that tool. So what gives?

If this really is about Cramer and what Stewart said about him, I wouldn’t be too worried. I don’t know what Joe’s up to, but Cramer will do just fine with Stewart. Anyone who thinks he won’t is dreaming.

I was a fan of Cramer and all the little Bud Foxs’ at CNBC. In my time watching the channel, I’d always been acutely aware that they were a bunch of, shall we say, sycophants. However, a year or so ago they, at least in my view, knew their place. It wasn’t until the dawn of the primaries where there began an increase in political obfuscation. It became increasingly clear that the CNBC crew were mostly, let’s say “not fans of the Democrats.” It was also clear that they were all depressed because they understood that, inevitably, a Democrat would win the presidency. Hillary was the clear favorite. Some of the reporters early on took timid pot shots at her, and treated Obama like an afterthought. About midway through the Dem primary, it became clear that they were all Republicon scum, but were banking on Clinton to, at least continue their market manipulation games. When Hillary began losing her goddamned mind, as well as the election (mid-March), they were squarely in her corner, some overtly, some subtly. When Hillary conceded, they proceeded to laud every single aspect of GOP’s and McCain’s political posturing, while lambasting just about everything the Democrats and Obama were speaking on. It was to be expected by a critical thinker like myself. I knew the market would begin to collapse. I knew that the bozos at CNBC would begin talking down investing in America in response to Obama becoming inevitable (with forked tongues they claim to support America in total). I knew there would be an increase in financial scandals (scapegoats), criticizing (deviations), and kvetching over nonsense (psychos!). The scum on the channel now are the meager residual effect of a larger dirt pool within the swine media.I watched the degradation of a decent infotainment channel over seven or so years. I do not feel good about it. I was a fan of Cramer (he’s taken his lumps better than the other suck-ups). I was a fan of Bartiromo (she’s a floosy that got caught with her hand in the cookie jar, actually). A fan of Haines (still am, actually – he’s at least an honest, old school financial news barbarian). Faber is a great reporter. Watch his documentaries to understand this. Even Kudlow gets my respect, still (he’s a true product of Reagonism, which is harmless, in my view). The rest of the CNBC bottom-feeding sycophants I couldn’t give two shits about. Their presence actually brings down the rep of the station, and I don’t care to go into what I think about them.Cramer is…disappointing.I really have no interest in seeing Stewart eviscerate Cramer for our amusement. I just want some, ANYONE, to just be goddamned honest for once. We all know they’re scamming, so stop fronting and start being up front.Never mind…I’m too naive, and I need to rest.My prayers to all those killed in just the latest in what is sure to become a series of mass shootings.Toodles, poodles.

Check out the article below, by Gabriel Winant at Salon. He analyzes CNBC quite well, and the article is also quite funny.http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2009/03/11/cnbc/

Ari the whiner whines like little girl on Hardball.

The only one so far that I have seen any honesty and I only give him about 10% so far is Faber… he did House of Cards about the Housing Bubble and actually put the blame square on the mortgage brokers, Bush, Greenspan, Gramm and Wall St. bankers.. He briefly mentioned Bill Clinton, but only in that he signed the Gramm bill to deregulate the lending. Other than that it was all Bush & Co.If you haven’t seen it and get a chance it is worth the time to watch it..

I smell a weird effort to make Stewart into the Lefty Rush. But still, nevertheless and of course, it hasn’t got legs to stand on much less coattails.

  • http://annette-justmylittlepieceoftheworld.blogspot.com/ Annette

You are probably right.. they tried with Michael Moore and he fought back hard.. so they are looking for someone else.. Well I don’t see Jon Stewart sitting still for it either.

  • SillyRatfacedGit

Elena -Great article. I particularly liked:”… rather than rely on “The Daily Show” for our opinions, even though we usually do, …”This statement is so true for so many Americans. People under 30 almost never watch TV new shows and instead rely on Stewart and Colbert. TV News has been a total joke for over a decade and I consider Stewart and Colbert’s coverage far more honest than the spin doctored propaganda dispensed by the so called news shows. The Corporatist Nazis Broadcasting Crap is in deep doodoo. They should have backed away very quietly. Cramer is committing suicide. Good riddance.

OT but important….Rachel has Meghan McCain on tonight… this ought to be good…lol

  • AdyLeigh

Bob read my mind. I watched Morning Joke play “The Daily Show” clips and laughed hysterically wondering if Jon Stewart is gonna get “Scarboroughed” next.

  • Erin

At this point, I think it would just bother Scarborough more for Stewart to, by and large, continue to ignore Morning Joe. Joe is constantly bitching about Jon Stewart on his show, maybe he feels a little attention starved that he doesn’t get on enough.

  • Lexaburn

Exactly the right strategy. Ignore obvious bullies, especially one’s that aren’t very good at it. Like Scarborough, who one minute interrupts Rachel Maddow while she’s making, in my opinion, a cogent point, and the next hollering about how he doesn’t participate in Crossfire-type behavior, aiming the accusation squarely at Maddow. The misogynist SLIME!I won’t ever forget that moment, or the fact that he seemingly left the set of that show after the exchange. What a chump times two.

@sammyscooge: I’ve been noticing too that Bob’s not showing up on the top slot. I keep waiting for it to be just my imagination, but as it turns out, I think it’s no coincidence at all. :( QT

  • sammyscooge

QT: Definitely not a coincidence. It all started after Scarborough threw a hissy fit. They’ve chosen to punish one of their best contributors in favor of an asshole talking head. Before we know it, they’ll just bury Bob completely.
