For Marriage

I was thinking about that far-right group — the “National Organization for Marriage.” Isn’t the very notion of same-sex marriage, by definition, a “for marriage” or “pro marriage” position? And by being against same-sex marriage, isn’t this organization actually against marriage?

Either way, they’re calling their movement “2M4M” or “2 Million for Marriage.” It should be 2 Million Against Marriage. Or 2 Million For Some Marriages.

UPDATE (and bumped): Well, okay. Apparently “2M4M” is Craigslist code for three-way anal sex. “Two men for man.” These National Organization for Marriage people could actually be more ridiculous than the tea baggers.

    Great work, Bob!I was thinking about the term “Fiscal Responsibility” today. It went something like this, “I believe in fiscal responsibility.”"Wait.”"Who the fuck doesn’t believe the government should use every American Tax Dollar wisely?”"This is another bullshit term, everyone is fiscally responsible.”So, we have Judeo Christian, 2M4M and Fiscal Responsibility. These are all empty statements and are the platform of the Republican Party. Does that mean the Republican Party stands for emptiness?

    This is similar to people who claim to be “pro-life” yet support the death penalty. They aren’t really pro-life – they are pro-what-life-they-deem-to-be-important.And in this case, they aren’t genuinely “for marriage,” they are for marriage that they approve. It’s moral cherry-picking.Fe….nice catch on the “2M4M.” That made me snicker in a very un-ladylike fashion.

    what can you do but laugh at this point?! i don’t mean to brush off the damage these crazy people are doing but it reminds me of this….when one of my dogs was a puppy everday i would come home to see she had climbed over the baby gate and trashed the place. at first i tried to figure her out why is she doing this, how is she doing this? then i tried to correct the problem. didn’t work! finally i just took the gate down knowing that she could not be corrected and laughed at what all she had destroyed that day!see the key was to do damage control! i was afraid she was going to hurt herself climbing over the baby gate and everyday she found some way to get over that fucker so i just gave her some space, protected the valuable shit, and let her do her thing.i just see a correlation between an untrainable little badass dog and these people. (without the cute puppy breathe of course!) ;)
