Fun With Republican Surveys

Michael Steele wants to know how the Republican Party can improve, and so he’s posted an online survey with a series of multiple choice questions — including “Other” options with a fill-in-the-blank field.

With a devilish, mischievous grin I write: Enjoy!

I tried to fill out the survey, but everything after the first oart was dishonestly worded and I couldn’t get through it. :( QT

Part one was decent. A few amusing options (why did we lose in 2008? Liberal media!), but mostly a solid survey.Parts two and three are hilarious. If they actually wanted to see how people felt, they’d make the questions not blatantly leading. “Should we let the Democrats crush our economy?” and the like.I had hope in part one that they might actually be trying to change. But the questions from 2 & 3 just confirm: they want to see results that tell them to keep trying to bog down progress. And if the results don’t turn out the way they want? It was the damn liberal bloggers hacking the poll, and they’ll just do what they want.

    5. What technology would you like to see the RNC make better use of to grow our Party?I answered “Vibrators”.It seems like yesterday that Tom DeLay was talking about the permanent Republican majority. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Goddamn, this is fun to watch!

Yeah, as soon as I saw “A recent national poll reported that nearly 25% of Americans want the government to pass more socialism. Do you agree or disagree?,” the agenda to follow seemed more than obvious. (Uh, disagree that there was ever any such worded poll with any such results?)

    4. Do you oppose so-called “card-check” legislation, which eliminates secret ballot elections during unionization drives and puts workers at risk of intimidation by labor bosses?

This contains a blatant lie. The EFCA does not eliminate secret ballot elections. WTF?

Every question is Section II is bogus for one reason or another. What a crock.

    8. Should we do everything we can to block Democrats who are trying to shut down conservative talk radio with the so-called “fairness doctrine”?

Sure. Waste your time fighting something that isn’t happening. While your at it, stop those Robots eating everyone’s meds also too.

This poll is a worthless farce. I’d like to see what professional Social scientists have to say about this steaming pile of worthlessness.

This is what you get when your party is run by Rush, Hannity, Malkin and the like.Should we oppose Barack Obama’s plan to destroy the American economy? Are minorities just stupid or engaged in sabotage? What is the best way for Republicans to save the future from the Obamanation?Should the Democrat party be forced to stop killing, cooking and eating newborn babies? The best part is that there’s not even a way to explain to the twisted fuckers how utterly mindless this exercise is. Dick Steele (a total porn name if ever there was one) is going to be waving the results of this poll around in about a week’s time, telling everyone he has a new plan.

    >>Dick SteeleWhere’s the “Dick” coming from? (heh) I think I’ve seen this here before. Michael Steele’s middle name is Stephen, so it’s not one of those M. “Middlename” Steele deals?

  • SillyRatfacedGit

cousinavi is correct, Mike “The Tool” Steele will have a plan shortly after the poll results are analyzed. “Rearrange those deck chairs while we come about and run the other side of the Titanic along the iceberg. We won’t list so badly after that. Also order enough vibrators so we can send one to every republican. The vibrators should have a head that looks like Newt.”

  • SillyRatfacedGit

Hmmm. I wonder if there is a market for vibrators that look like your favorite politician. My next vibrator shall be named Barbara.

but what the fuck does that stupid socialism question mean? How can you pass socialism? And agree or disagree with what? Agree that it’s bad? or disagree with the 25%?You’d think a bunch of morons wrote this survey — ohwait. Never mind.

  • bjritz

They’ve got to be kidding on this one:

Should bureaucrats in Washington, DC be in charge of making your health care choices instead of you and your doctor?

I bet they’ll confuse the pro-birth then eff ‘em crowd. They used that naughty word again “choice.”

  • bjritz

At the top it refers to the “new RNC”. But, now really, don’t those questions sound like they’ve been written by the old RNC?Perhaps we’re seeing new whine in old whine skins.

    I’ve never seen a “push-feedback-survey” before! ha!

Edward Teach of Ocracoke, NC (look it up if you don’t know) filled it out. Thanks for something light on what has been a heavy morning for me.Long time lurker,Phy

How many here filled out the survey? You HAVE to…its FUN! I did and had a blast respectfully answering the essay portion on what they can do better.

  • William Slifko

Would be doing us all a much great favor if questions are answered making it appear that you are from their party. In the comment section toward the end I made the following statement and suggestion: “The Republican party used to be about fairness for everyone. Let the Dems go as far left of center as they like and get the Republican party back to the center where it belongs. Stop pandering to the wealthy, the religious right and other special interests!”I know this will never happen but one can hope…

  • LMarathon

Every question in that survey reads like this:Q: Aren’t the Republicans completely right in not doing shit for this country in order to obstruct that socialist asshole Obama and all his Democrat buddies, who, by the way, murder babies in their sleep? This isn’t a survey, it’s fishing for compliments and validation while dishonestly smearing your opponent. But I filled it out. I suggested they use more of that newfangled technology called “AM Radio” to spread their message. Just watch, it’s going to catch on!

  • kemstone

I wonder if the people who composed that survey are just so narrow-minded that they didn’t even notice how blatantly leading their questions were. “Should Republicans oppose Obama’s plan to let illegal immigrants unionize and make health-care decisions for you?”But I’m pretty sure they knew what they were doing. This was a fund-raising tool, not a survey. The RNC isn’t interested in hearing honest opinions, especially from people on the INTERNETS.
