Married Gays Are Like Terrorists

That seems to be what Congressman Steve King was implying with this:

Along with a constitutional amendment, the legislature must also enact marriage license residency requirements so that Iowa does not become the gay marriage Mecca due to the Supreme Court’s latest experiment in social engineering.

And before you know it, they’ll be hijacking planes and flying their gay into Iowa’s many skyscrapers.

    VT House today approved same sex marriage. The VT Senate approved it last week. May have to override a threatened veto by the GOP Governor.Bill currently in NH legislature to approve same sex marriage. Dem. Gov. also threatens to veto.The momentum is building, tho.Currently legal in MA & CT with no reported Mecca-like influx of teh Gay… Ah, New England.

    While I love your blog Bob and usually agree with much of what you say, I’ve got to disagree with this one. I’m thinking he meant ‘mecca’ as in a place where many people of like-mind or type converge.Its undoubtedly still a stupid thing to say – but I think its the old social engineering chestnut which is most ridiculous. Somehow these people can’t wrap their tiny minds around the concept of equal rights for all.If you can’t see em and you can’t hear em they don’t exist… right, Mr King?
