Those of you who are connected with Scarborough on the Twitter, kindly ask him to stop being deliberately misleading about the DHS report. He continues to insist on Morning Joe that Homeland Security is targeting veterans for surveillance, which is clearly not true. Here’s the line from the report:

I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat.

As was mentioned on Countdown last night, to suggest that this means DHS is targeting veterans is like saying that when police target pedophiles, the police are actually targeting children for arrest.

If you want to really get Scarborough’s attention, compare him to Glenn Beck. He hates that.

    I sent Morning Joe an email yesterday telling him that it might be good form to actually read the report before spouting off.The 912ers are all lathered up of course and insist that Obama is labeling all vets as terrorists, period, end of story. And any attempt to reason with them is a fools errand if there ever was one.

    This report was ordered by BUSH, and is just now coming out.. Joke also made the comment that no one ever did a report about Left Wingers.. well that report came out in January… about the time of the inauguration.But that doesn’t make news like this does.. so it doesn’t fit their purpose.

    Joe actually responded to one of my tweets when he was on an “Even the EU thinks Obama’s wrong” kick. I said something like “funny – you didn’t care about the EU’s opinions when Bush wanted to invade Iraq”. Said something sorta snide about lefties…He gets a bit defensive & condescending when ya disagree with him – you probably noticed. ;)

    I gave up watching that buffoon and his lackey a while ago. I just couldn’t stomach it anymore and actually migrated to CNN (Cable Nonsense Network), which surprisingly covers more news in the mornings than it does during the rest of the day.
