Morning Joe

Watching Morning Joe this morning, it’s staggering how the predominant tone is that torture is President Obama’s problem. The discourse on the show isn’t about how and why the Bush administration sold out our national integrity and morality — the discussion has almost entirely focused on how investigating the Bush administration’s use of torture is bad for Obama, and how it’ll be a horrible political move for Democrats.

It’s the “Obama Bear Market” argument all over again, in which the president was blamed for a stock market declines that began in late 2007, recycled for Scarborough’s torture fetish.

Incidentally, remember when Scarborough publicly tattle-taled to Arianna about me accusing him of being a neo-McCarthyite? This morning, Scarborough was accusing the Democrats of engaging in McCarthyism. Naturally, he framed it in his passive aggressive style by first denying he was making the accusation, then went ahead and did it.

    WTF is wrong with this asshole? “Dismembered Pakistani Child”? SFTU!!!! NOW.Yes, I don’t agree with the Pakistani Drone operation and it is horrible to kill innocent people. But, Joe DOESN’T GIVE TWO SQUIRTS OF PISS about the Pakistani child. Not to mention, THAT IS WHERE THE REAL TERRORIST FUCKING LIVE!!!! President Obama is taking the fight to that REAL terrorist threat to the country, not forcing confessions out of KSM to raise KBR’s market value 30%. FUCK!By the way, I passed almost all of the required exams and tests to become a Lieutenant today. I am kind of pumped about the idea of at least one Army Officer being from the far left.     Here The Right goes again… like lemmings they are all using the phrase now, “Do we really want to prosecute people for political differences?” I’ve been hearing it for days now and no one has said it more than Gasbag Scarborough. “Political differences”? Jesus… since when is a war crime a fucking viewpoint?

    It wasn’t torture, you heard Liz Cheney. We subjected our own Special Forces ops to these “enhanced techniques”. By doing so, we discovered how far we may go before crossing the line into torture. I’m sure those “enemy combatants” were only waterboarded for the same length of time as a Special Forces op. That they were allowed to signal when the exposure became too intense. What a disgusting little sophist, Liz Cheney is. Truly, that proverbial apple does not fall far from the tree.

    And then we had rethug Hoeska (sp) basically calling Pelosi a liar.My jaw was on the floor during most of the show. I’m having a hard time believing we are having a matter of fact discussion on torture. Like it’s fine and dandy and no one should be held responsible.

    It’s not even worth it to watch Scarborough anymore. And if no one did, maybe they’d finally replace him.A – yes, it did get personal. Joe Doucheborough got all whiny and cried to Arianna Huffington that mean, nasty Bob Cesca was criticizing him. In that Doucheborough post, pretty much every negative comment was moderated out thread. Doucheborough is a pussy. And so are you, by the way.

    I don’t know about you, but I’m OUTRAGED that our taxpayer dollars are going to FREE TRAINING for the terrorists.They’re getting the same high quality torture-resistance training as our elite special forces and pilots.     Hey GI, even if you’re a moderate, you appear to be far left because, well, you aren’t a far right goose-stepper. You won’t be alone, but you will be a minority and must choose your words and fights carefully or you won’t be able to take care of your people. That said, never compromise your principles or accept orders you know are illegal, immoral, or unethical.

I thought you might be retired military since you have that terse no nonsense approach to argument that is quite common amongst our armed forces finest. I worked for a defense contractor and the most high quality high bandwidth business conversations were with Army, Air Force, and Marine Colonels. They knew their shit inside and out and asked stunningly intelligent questions. I always felt good knowing that my nation’s defense was in the hands of such professionals. Generals did all the glad handing and pleasantries talk. Then the Colonels took over and you had better have the answers quick or a good reason why you don’t. Damn pleasure to work those people. They hated bullshit even more than I which I didn’t think possible. (Electronics Engineers know that you can’t bullshit electrons.)

    I completely stopped watching MJ a few weeks ago, and I cannot believe how much it has improved the quality of my life.Seriously I feel like I have escaped from somewhere. I wish I had done it sooner instead of just threatening.I either don’t turn on TV or watch C-Span or something I have on DVR. Should something I want to see happen on MJ it will be online.I really love the freedom!
