Paranoids On Parade

Via Kyle:

The one lady struggling in earnest to make sense of how spending ended the Great Depression is just too priceless. You can almost see the gears in her head grinding and sputtering as she attempted to grasp the historical reality.

There will always be that 10% at either end of the spectrum who just don’t get it. The ignorance on display for that 10% in the video is astounding.

I tell you these are boring people attempting to sound like their idols on TV and radio. Those gears are churning out are hurried call of “What would Hannity, Boortz, or Limbaugh say?” They have no clue on how they actually feel about anything. They are dead on the insude because they lost. Give them some time to get over it, like next year, when/if they witness the final nail being put into con-servative dominance in the political arena.Duckspeak – that’s all you’ll ever get from those people.Besides that, the majority of them are scruffy, unattractive-looking nincompoops with too much time on their hands and no clue why.Imbeciles.But they are Americans, each and everyone of them. As much as they don’t care to admit it, they adore people governing their lives. It’s in all their rhetoric, if you read between the lines. At least two of them claimed to be “scared” of President Obama. See, that’s their way of playing victims of circumstance. Who do they turn to? Republicons in government, that’s who. They have no clue about taxes and such other than what their accountants tell them. They are truly sheep, in any metaphorical sense of the word.I just watched the disgusting crooked pol, Tom Delay, slime his way through an interview with media dork Matthews just a while ago. Delay is the type of buffoon that placates these individuals. Delay is an old fogey conmen scumbag that never utters an original thought and is forever perpetrating a fraud. The imbeciles that are in the video feel that conmen like Delay are actually appeasing them because they’re “standing up” to the Dems on TV. More than likely, Delay and his ilk are narcissistic sociopaths that like to congregate with the elitists on swine television, whether they’re being shamed in the process or not. These are the people that the morons in that video parrot and look up to. Again, these people aren’t afraid of “too much government.” They just feel boxed in when their benefactors aren’t in the majority, the boneheads.I know none of us are fooled by their bullshit, and at this point, I don’t even think they believe the bullshit that is coming out of their mouths, but they say it anyway because they’re stubborn (or insane) enough to believe that they’re not embarrassing themselves. FNC is always there for them, so they feel no shame. They’ll stay in the self-righteous bubbles and live accordingly, come what may.Don;t mean to sound condescending, but I, too, snicker at these people.

I think the second lady was flirting.”Is this for your private collection?”

  • gypsy

why do they all take pictures and ask what he is doing there?! as if he’s crashing a private party and they need photo id of the perp for the police.the three parts that made me giggle more than the rest…”why you here today? ME?!” keke… no, the other person i just asked with a camera in their face.”i don’t pay taxes”the young republican president saying “it’s about time we stand up and be heard.” yes, the turmoil you guys have been through in the past less than 3 months must really suck.

  • dontpanic23

Not a one of them can string a coherent thought together on what they are trying to do, say or protest. All that comes out is hatred and misdirected anger. This would be hard to watch if it weren’t so wonderfully entertaining. Or reverse that.

  • http://www.thenewwearsoff.com/ Kyle

gypsy, I think they’re taking pictures because they are extreme right wingers and suspect there are DHS spies in their midst. Paranoid delusional wingnuts.

  • AC

Penn and Teller did a Bullshit! show and did the same kind of thing — going to a (left wing) protest and asking simple questions. I’m sorry to say the lefties didn’t have their rap down much better than these folks.I would have expected a Young Republican to be able to articulate something. Anything.Good video. Good simple question.

Man, People are way more civil in NM. All the more reason to move there.

So it’s now somehow proven by an ignorant person on the right that you guys know how it went down? On the contrary, there is scholarly research out there stating that spending PROLONGED the Great Depression, and if you took the time to read it, or interviewed someone who has actually studied the stuff, you might get better answers. Just because the crowd doesn’t have all the answers doesn’t mean they’re wrong.

  • Madtrapper

This video and the blogger who shot it seems to go for the O’Reilley style of ambush video and though it’s amusing, the concept of asking one question over and over until you get the stupid response you came for helps no one. At the end of the day we’re all Americans, sort of like your retard cousin at Thanksgiving, you should still be looking out for each other. This just pours gas on a brush fire and don’t think Walmart and McDonalds won’t be waiting around to sell fire extinguishers and burn cream later. We should be tea gagging corporate America together.

  • Silly Ratfaced Git

there is scholarly research out there stating that spending PROLONGED the Great Depression,

Yes. There are exactly two papers that say that. Neither was written by an economist. If you want, I’ll dig up my links to where actual economists show how the conclusions of those papers were reached by very carefully cherry-picking the data. The second paper is based on the first and the first has been totally discredited. Neither paper was published in a peer reviewed journal and when peers reviewed them they were found to be outright lies. The only people repeating this nonsense are either honestly misled or are dishonest propagandists. There are thousands of very scholarly and peer reviewed papers that say the opposite. Those papers have not been discredited.Peddle your wrong wing propaganda elsewhere. You have been had. Those papers were commissioned by a neocon thinktank. The conclusion was stated before the data was even analysed. Just because they hired a whore with a Ph.D. to rig it and write it doesn’t make it less of a sham.

This Video reminds us of the importance of us being diligent and not letting these people get back into power again..Also I bet the guy who does not pay taxes is eitherA. On some kind of disability insurance orB. Collecting a pensionI wish we would have a moratorium on taxes for 1 year and charge all these people for the REAL cost of the services they are getting from the government. I think they would be astounded to find out that the value we get for our tax dollar is tremendous. The average middle class family pays less than 8,000 dollars a year for1. Free education2.24hr Security3. International Security4. Roads5. Infrastructure6. Unemployment Insurance7. Disability Insurance8. Fire Safety10. Food InspectionAnd much much more I wish someone would come up with the numbers of what all of these things would cost if we had to pay for them privately ala cart and shut these people up.As if the couple of grand they pay a year for taxes is what’s holding them back from being rich.

it’s the paranoia expressed by these people that is so disturbing.

  • Dan

I have to agree with Madtrapper’s post. To go it one further, however, it seems that this smug lookit-the-retards kind of treatment doesn’t endear progressives and liberals to anybody. We all doubtlessly recall how insufferable conservatives were to us during the Bush years, and it seems to me if we’re interested in winning new people over, we’ll fail miserably if we’re giant assholes to them. Anybody who reads this blog already knows the tea parties were astroturfed, and that all attendees were consequently the lowest common denominator among conservatives: the dittoheads, the lunatic fringe, the Fox-is-my-only-news-source people, the simps. So traipsing through their demonstrations with a camcorder and editing the ensuing content to underscore (or artificially insinuate) the woeful simplicity of these people does nothing but ensure conservatives of all stripes will be preemptively hostile to anything that comes out of our camp. We won the elections, peeps… isn’t it time to retire the friggin’ snark already?I fundamentally believe that Gore didn’t overwhelmingly crush Bush because he broadcast a sort of academic smugness that Bush was smart (well, dumb…) enough to avoid. Grouse as some may, the “I’d rather have a beer with him,” criteria also probably won Obama the election. I guess I’m saying that; a) we might benefit from trying to be people others would want to have a beer with, and that; b) I probably wouldn’t want to have a beer with the guy who made this video.

For those of you that don’t know, the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) party was started and promoted by Youtube Thomas Paine. I was at the TEA party and as Polosi opens her stupid mouth calling this astroturf, perhaps she should READ the flag we fly ” DON’T TREAD ON ME!!” I’m real tired of being called a republican right wing, perhaps you should have come to the TEA party and listened to what was said. NO PARTIES!!! Are you hearing it clear enough. I’m not right or left, I am an AMERICAN and I like my FREEDOM. I happen to be be pro-choice, pro-gun, pro-gay marriage, pro-stem cell, boy I’m as right wing as they get. I’ve never asked the govt. for anything and never will. In turn the govt. never came around with a spare tit so they don’t get a voice in MY house. If I want a gas guzzler, MY choice. If I want a personal assult rifle, MY choice. The govt. doesn’t have the right to force me to be charitable. If I want to be charitable with my money, ITS MY CHOICE. I shouldn’t have to feel compassion for 20 million illegals with MY MONEY! English only PLEASE! Secure my borders, a nation without borders is NOT a nation. We are not a welfare state for corrupt foreign countries. I don’t want the govt. telling me what car I can drive, how much electric I can use, or what doctor I can see or how much I spend on my meds. I was mad with clinton, bush and obama. I sick of the direction they (republican and democrats alike)are taking MY country. I expect them to follow the constitution…. I started in life poor,as did my husband we worked hard to get were we are. We ain’t your daddy, the government ain’t your daddy, get off your lazy, you owe me a handout, butt and WORK. If you want to try a socialist lifestyle that’s great, pack your crap and move to France. I can’t move to another capitolist country, this is it and we have piggy backed the worlds finances long enough. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND!!!!! I’ll keep my money and my guns YOU KEEP YOUR CHANGE

  • Wilson

“I’ve never asked the govt. for anything and never will.”So of course you will be opting out of Social Security benefits and Medicare/Medicaid insurance so that you can continue your beloved independent lifestyle? Lord knows, I would hate for your panties to get in a twist because my tax dollars are helping keep food on your table and your health intact when you retire.
