VeraLynn, of course same sex marriage has no bearing on your civil liberties whatsoever. Granting same sex couples the right to legally marry amounts to nothing more than giving then the same civil rights and liberties that heterosexual couples already have. This is just a fear tactic the far-right is using to scare people. Did giving women and African Americans the right to vote take away the civil liberties already given to white men?

And just look at the mess heterosexual couples have made out of marriage…yikes! Hell, I even contributed to the mess myself.

I forgot to mention. They’ve never seen “The Manchurian Candidate” neither the original, or the remake. They don’t know what it means, but it sounds good.I’ve never seen the remake, but I have the original on DVD. I think it’s Frank Sinatra’s best acting job. Lawrence Harvey and Angela Lansbury both also give kickass performances. It’s a great film. I see no need for a remake.
