People (including me) keep asking how Bachmann’s district can be so dumb as to keep electing her. Now they are placing my own representative’s face next to Bachmann’s while describing her stupid. And now I know how a minority of the people in that MN district feel.

i would just like to say that i was quite offended when Lee compared Fox News to a potential Heavy Metal channel. i understand the point that he was making, but goddamnit, we metal-heads are nothing like those fuckers at fox!

Cesca, I listened to a repeat of one of your radio shows.The point that you made regarding the protection of liberty was outstanding. I agree that if one must torture to protect “liberty” then there isn’t liberty anymore anyway, and with freedom there are certain risks that one must take.It reminded me of the bastardization of the word “freedom” during the Iraq war. NO ONE was/is “protecting my freedom” during the Iraq colonization. In fact, it was based entirely on POWER.The torture policy and the abusive domestic surveillance programs are clearly abuses of POWER, and they do not involve liberty in any way whatsoever.

Gah! Re-listening to yesterday’s show, and have to fess up – that odd noise was me opening a velcro pocket to put the cell phone away – I’d not muted the phone yet (sorry!). I had to put the phone down to go clean up the kitchen and such.I’m going to blog today or tomorrow on this issue of niche content, and divided camps, etc.QT
