Selective Outrage

Sullivan:

Only a day after a massive, sustained and widespread outcry on the bloggy right about the DHS convening a study to worry about right-wing extremism, we get news of illegal and excessive wire-tapping under Bush.

He’s of course referring to this news today:

Several intelligence officials, as well as lawyers briefed about the matter, said the N.S.A. had been engaged in “overcollection” of domestic communications of Americans. They described the practice as significant and systemic, although one official said it was believed to have been unintentional.

It was unintentional? Is that a joke?Other unintentional things done by BushCO1. Ignoring warnings about planned Al Quieda (sp?) attack on U.S.2. Invasion and Occupation of a sovereign nation for fabricated reasons.3. Ignoring warnings about a powerful hurricain about to annihilate New Orleans. All totally unintentional.

If you want to know why this report is so controversial, check out this article describing a visit by McCain, Gramm and Lieberman to the Middle East during the 2005-2006 time frame.Turns out all three have loosened their rhetoric about Pres. Obama since the inaugaration. I would too if someone had a smoking gun about my nefarious activities.http://www.davidduke.com/general/war-monger-lord-rothschild-backs-john-mccain_3662.html
