Shepard Smith Debunks Wingnuttery

Smith and two separate guests, Catherine Herridge and Mike Baker, completely and utterly debunked the Malkin-Beck-Hannity outrage over that DHS report regarding right wing extremist groups. Among other things:

-There was a report on left wing extremist groups released in January.
-The Bush administration requested both reports.
-DHS isn’t targeting veterans for surveillance.
-This is another example of conservatives just lashing out at anything.

I imagine the only Crazy Train response to these facts will be to attack Smith as somehow a far-left liberal moonbat socialist.

    Is it me, or is Shep Smith actually in danger of looking like an actual credible news-anchor-celebrity-something, as opposed to the every day, run-of-the-mill Chatty Cathy doll Faux News trots out morning, noon and night? I mean, I know he’s still Shep Smith, and when put up against Glen BERZOI-YOI-YOING Beck, everyone seems sane. But, seriously. It’s like he uses the Dark Side, but we can see there IS some good in him.Anyone? No? I’ll just be over here by the snack table…

    I like Shep, but this just follows a typical Fox News trend. They allow the wingnuts to ramp up they hysteria to the point of embarrassment, then they roll out Shep Smith to restore some credibility.
