Shocking!

Homeland Security has apparently issued a report about right wing extremist groups and Michelle Malkin is shocked that the anti-terror programs of the Bush era — programs that she supported for years — have actually begun to include far-right extremists.

Yeah, and she’s also shocked that there are far-right extremists in the first place. I know she’s been busy with her tea bags so maybe she forgot about the abortion clinic bombers, the militias and the white supremacists.

UPDATE: Sullivan asks:

Why, one wonders, would Michelle Malkin read a DHS report on fringe, far-right extremism that could lead to violence or Oklahoma-style domestic terrorism and think … they’re talking about her?

She quotes sections about radical militias and white supremacists and yet she complains that DHS is using stereotypes to describe conservatives.

Typical Malkin blather. If she needs examples of far-right extremists, she need look no further than the comments section of that article. Yikes!

  • bjritz

Perhaps she is not reading her own commenters:

On April 14th, 2009 at 9:09 am, Trollman said:Clinging to my Bible, my gun, and my wallet.See y’all tomorrow at the protests.

Whether Mr./Ms. Trollman is serious, a true troll or an M&M superfan, here’s a possible nut job bringing a gun to the tea party.Let’s see what she says if violence by right wing tb swinging has erupted on Wednesday.

Bjritz – I don’t think you can actually call commenters on Malkin’s site trolls. It’s not like blogs on our side, where we let anyone comment. To comment on Malkin’s site(s), you have to basically be invited in.

  • BloggerB

This is the kind of stuff that gives me nightmares. It kind of makes me feel better knowing that Homeland Security takes right-wing extremism seriously.

  • Tusz

Bjritz: If violence does ensue at any point tomorrow, they already have an excuse lined up. They’ll blame ACORN. No, seriously, they will. People on one of their blogs more or less said ACORN would try to attack them. Whether they actually fear that happening, or are just joking around, or actively plan to start problems and blame it on a voter registration group is left to the reader. And if the police get involved? Then Obama is turning us into a police state. Of course, if the police were simply escorting them to a designated Free Speech Zone, then they’d be okay with it, right?

  • Sierradrinker

At least we know she has no qualms about aligning herself with right wing extremist groups. One of my favorites:

My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

DUH!!!First, how do you quantifiably provide evidence as to someone’s motives and reasons for getting pissed off? When someone loses their job, it’s never their own fault. They blame their boss, their co-workers, the economy, or maybe the government leadership. SHOCKING!!!

Tusz – That’s exactly what I said yesterday.

Let’s really pay attention on April 15th and see if some of these protests 1 – become violent, 2 – if that violence is covered and 3 – if it gets to the point where law enforcement has to come in, how soon the spin will come from the right that we’re no longer allowed to “peacefully” protest because the evil Obama has made our country a police state.

The link to Malkin’s site seems to be down. Let’s hope it stays that way forever.

I just heard Neal Boortz railing on and on about this letter.New outrage for the (right wing extremist)teabaggers to use tomorrow.I’d like to bring a sign to the local gathering (in ATL) asking, “Please explain to me why we’re here!”, but I’m afraid I’d get stompped by jackboots…

These are the people that had no problem when the government was investigating little old ladies and Quakers for their opposition to the Iraq War (Now With More Occupation!), so Michelle Malkin can suck it.In addition to being able to declare them enemy combatants and toss them into Guantanamo until the sun burns out, Teabaggers should also be reminded that, I believe it was John Yoo, argued once that the government is well within it’s rights to crush the testicles of a five year old boy in order to extract information from the parents. So, Teabaggers, remember to get a babysitter for tomorrow’s events.

  • Silly Ratfaced Git

Consider the irony of Spain calling for the extradition of Alberto Gonzales, John Yoo, and four others for War Crimes trial. In this Spanish trial, no torture of any kind will occur and yet we will hear screams of “Stop the Spanish Inquisition!”It would be simpler to use a twenty pound sledgehammer on Mr. Yoo’s teabag. Unfortunately, at this point in time we are the Barbaric assholes and the Spaniards are the good guys.

Your intolerance for demonstrations of apposing views is incredible. The ignorance of current events displayed is also staggering, not to mention the association of terrorists who blow up clinics to right wingers is no different than ascribing the Weather Underground to average lefties.Comments about “clinging to guns and religion,” are in reference to Presidents Obamas thoughts he shared at a dinner in California in regards to conservatives, it’s not a threat nor a plan of action.”Little old Ladies” against the Iraq war, such as Code Pink, have been found to have funded organizations in the middle east that promote terrorism. Maybe you should research that. The tea-parties occurring around the country are in response to the new Presidents record increases in spending which could cripple our economy and leave our future generations in bankruptcy. And don’t act like it’s a party lines issue when most responsible tea-partiers will testify that President Bush helped usher in this new spending trend. This is about showing our representatives in the government that they should listen when we ask them not to increase spending, not to give out bailouts, and not impose on our freedoms. I would think the radical lefties on this blog would agree with those sentiments if it was their affiliates who thought it up, or if someone was trying to outlaw abortion or schools teaching evolution. Please act check this info and tell me if I’m wrong.

“Little old Ladies” against the Iraq war, such as Code Pink, have been found to have funded organizations in the middle east that promote terrorism.

I think I would have heard about that, as it’s against the law to fund terrorist organizations. The Bush/Cheney team crowed about every “win” in the War on Terror. Well, when they made one, anyways. You know, like the Terror Plot they busted up where the “Terrorists” that were going to blow up Chicago could hardly afford shoes and bus tickets. If they had actually prosecuted little old ladies sending birthday cards full of five dollar bills to Osama bin Laden, we’d have heard about it endlessly. And nice attempt at conflating little old lady war protesters with Code Pink. Remember, the President had the power to just toss Code Pink in jail without a shred of real evidence if he’d wanted. You’re assertion that they actually committed a crime means that the Bush/Cheney team decided not to prosecute an organization aiding and abetting the terrorists that hate our freedom and want to kill us. Instead, they settled for using them as a fund raising tool. Of course, that means their only crime was opposing the Bush administration and had become worthy of unlawful surveillance by the state.

I wonder what all these bitter, clingy malcontents will do with themselves once these little “tea parties” are over with tomorrow. Perhaps they’ll urge Sarah Palin to play the Red Queen at the kangaroo court trial of President Barack Obama. They can’t just up and throw another round of “tea parties,” can they? Tea don’t grow on trees. They run out eventually. Pretty soon, these con-servamorons will be calling for our military to invade other nations in order to get at their precious, precious tea. These idiots ought to feel proud that they’re being profiled by the man. Instead, like the malcontent chickenshits that they are, they’re afraid they’ll be found out before they can throw their little temper tantrums. We’re just trying to keep these imbeciles on the straight and narrow. They don’t want to do anything…impulsive now, do they. What, are they afraid that they’ll end up looking worse than the Taliban and the black rappers and atheletes they’re so frightened of?Bitchelle Balkin is yet another con-servative wanna-be that dignifies a bunch of fetishists on her moronic blog. I’ve always kept up with what’s going on on all these different blogs out here. The morons that make up her comments section spout ignorant con-servatwit gibberish while exalting the Balkin fraud logic. You should have read these imbeciles during the GOP primary, especially pertaining to J. Sidney McCain who they despised for placating the illegals. Once Obama won the Dem primary, the same dorks that hated McCain’s guts were defending him tooth and nail. They have no intellectual compass anymore now that GWB is out of office. They don’t know who or what to defend, and since they have no real will of their own, they jump on the perpetual con-servaknave outrage bandwagon, which is what you all are observing in any of those comments thread on Balkin’s reprehensible blog.

Also as Crooks and Liars points out, “conservatives” are never mentioned at all.http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/conservatives-indict-themselves-shri

  • Lexaburn

See, Alex, that’s just like when the con-servatives were supposedly hysterical that all the “fat cats on Wall St.” (never mind exactly whom) were getting taxpayer money, yet at the same time they were scolding everyone about how the same “fat cats” were entitled to all that lovely taxpayer money. The GOP is truly the party of Gargamel, Mumm-Ra, The Borg, and Barnaby from March of the Wooden Soldiers.
